RE: no radio for STF bball game?
ESPN doesn't even have it listed as a game tonight under the MAC scores on the website.
I can't get an update.
A little help?

RE: no radio for STF bball game?
found "live stats" on STF website...took forever to load
NIU 49 F 38 - ten minutes remain in second half...
I expected wider margin at this juncture...

It was a very ugly effort. Not many easy baskets which you would expect in a game like this. This team will have some issues We should be ready for that now

St. Francis out-rebounded us 41-27. How in the world can that happen?

I would assume our energy level needed a little pumping up.

RE: no radio for STF bball game?
FWIW

next NIU game vrs U Penn in Fla tourney

Quakers are 1-2 with recent win over Navy and play nobody of note this Saturday.

Some noteworthy Upenn history:

They lost to Magic Johnson and MSU in ncaa tourney

Their very old bball facility - the Palestra is regarded as a birthplace of modern college bball having hosted more tourney games than any other facility since 1927

one of school's original founders is ben franklin - now that's old

As Monty said, Huskies didn’t respect their opponent and got out played! Positives Tommy D is extremely talented when he is aggressive as he was in the second half. It looks like to me this team will be competitive at home and stink on the road. I see no leadership from the players. Early on they seam very talented but lacking leadership. Monty can not be the guy with the most energy. Their year will be 2018-19.

It was on local 1360am radio. Team was flat and looking ahead according to Monte. Hopefully will be ready for the tourney. Decent teams playing down there.

Had to at least be on WLBK or was going to ask what Baker and Rodney Davis were doing all night long; isn't the audio streamed? St. Francis had a 6-9 kid from Australia who held his own in stretches, but he got in foul trouble and after that the height disadvantage was obvious. Unfortunately equally obvious was a lack of interest from NIU in rebounding, hence the final numbers. Former Brian Hammel assistant Ryan Marks got his kids to put up a fight despite the height and talent mis-match.

thanx for reminder re Marks. I knew the name was familiar but his bio on STF site apparently had no mention of his NIU connection

Fair assessment on leadership. That could be an issue. Tommy D could eventually be a quiet leade. He was a bright spot tonight. Could foresee some long scoring droughts
