Assuming it's just recent, I'd say a hip pointer is a good guess.

Of course, it could also just be a minor strain of some sort, in which case a little down time and no big deal.

At least it’s not a ligament. That’s what I first thought when he twisted oddly.

We all know injuries are coming. No way the sports gods would allow a Cincinnati team to have tremendous success. Even when it’s deaerved.

I happen to think we can still have success in the Caymans without Evans.
I just want him back for when things really start to heat up.

Maybe we wait till there is some sort of official announcement before the speculation runs rampant and we all have heart attacks?

Who is having a heart attack? Your comments are always so negative and annoying. I've legit never seen you comment unless it was to correct someone's opinion or try to put someone down. Please forgive us for speculating on a message board.

Cats need Evans for the December run but they should be ok next week without him. Biggest concern going forward is that the backup wing players look like a huge drop off. Williams can't shoot and Moore isn't a Junior so its hard to expect him to be lights out this early in his career. I was really impressed with Jenifer and Scott but it almost should be expected as they are now in their third year at UC.

I really like Moore and Williams. I especially like how aggressively Williams drives the ball. He looks like a stereotypical NYC slashing guard. Fun to watch. Of course neither of them is Jacob Evans but the great thing about this year is in a worst case scenario, even without Evans, there are at least four other legit scoring options.

Easy fix...Jenifer, Broome, Cumberland, Clark, Washington starting lineup.

Who will man the point with the reserves?

Word is, from multiple sources, Evans will be fine.
So, the hopeful season continues...
Nobody get too optimistic or boastful about it though. Don't want the Almighty to stick his foot out and watch us fall flat on our face.
Paranoia over such things is warranted, if you're a UC fan.

No speculation. Mick said in post game presser Evans has a hip issue. Mick did not expand upon seriousness.

RE: Coppin State
I wouldn't draw the conclusions Keith Williams "can't shoot". He struggled with his jumper in the first few games, but his history shooting the ball isn't that bad. You can't judge guys on a few games, particularly as first year guys. Logan and Sk didn't shoot the ball particularly well when the first go here either, and both ended up All Americans. Much to early to tell.
