Akron vs Kent Tuesday MACtion
Well isn't this interesting as the year comes to an end... if Akron beats Kent St tonight they are going to the MACC... Yes... AKRON...

So... how does that make everyone feel? We all thought it was the end of the world when we lose at home to Akron on a freaking SUNDAY... in front of an empty stadium and a less than enthusiastic group of ball players...

This year has been just down right nuts... we should have beaten Akron running away in that game... The only issue I have with this years team is commitment and execution... Just seems like this year isn't as dialed in as we have been over the last few... Blame needs to be spread around the entire program... players, coaches, admin... fan's... Here's hoping we can screw with Toledo's season Friday.

Akron struggling with Kent to boot... up 10-7 late in the first half... at home.

Just went back and checked our stats against Akron... totally forgot how dominant we were in that game in everything but the scoreboard... shaking my head yet again.

Far easier to win the MAC East than the MAC West. Been that way for years.

Akron is 6-5 and in the weakest division in FBS. King $#!T on turd island.

They’d finish 4th in the West.

We still should’ve beaten them.

And I disagree that weather or an empty stadium had anything to do with it. Both teams faced similar challenges. To suggest otherwise is simply excuse making. Furthermore it’s absolutely absurd to blame fans for anything. Nobody blamed the fans 3 years ago when we lost to Toledo at home by 1 point in the freezing rain. Please.

Get off it already.... we understand your stance.... its been nauseating. I have been at every game but the Akron game and outside of the first two games its been a ghost town at Waldo.... so YES I can blame the fans... or rather the lack of fans in that stadium. Weather has sucked... timing has sucked... Injuries have sucked...

Its been a $h1t season... yet we have been in every freaking game... even USC.... and are bowl eligible for our FOURTH straight season. Your sour grapes are getting old.

Akron just blew it open end of the first half with 14pts in less than 20 seconds of play time... Fumble recovery for a TD.

Umm, you brought it up... ?

Drives me bonkers that people are still willing to make excuses for that game.

Akron literally didn’t have a place to stay Saturday night. Had to spend hours searching for the nearest hotel since Kalamazoo was sold out and ended up having to drive to Lansing (and back). And somehow they were still able to come out and get the job done.

We should’ve won that game.

End. Of. Story.

Next time don’t pose a question like that if you don’t want a response. You knew you’d get one. 03-phew

Didn't make an excuse for the game... just pointed out where the SEASONS blame should be directed.... and it involved EVERYONE! We won every statistical category on that score sheet against Akron... we just couldn't get it in the damn endzone... You want legitimate excuses for the Akron game? OC Johns... that was the issue in that game... His game plan and play calling was atrocious.. We only gave up 7pts to Akron's offense... Defense did its job.

Akron can't move the ball without their own defense or penalties... This team is NOT good and its sad that this is the best that the MAC East has to offer... Ohio fans must be beside themselves...

I can’t believe this MAC Tuesday/Wednesday contract deal runs through 2026.

We need to go back to Saturdays like big boys. Not relegated to the kiddie table of midweek nights.

RE: Akron vs Kent Tuesday MACtion
I could live with ONE MAC per week on one of the ESPN stations. And something like each MAC team has just ONE midweek game every other year. It's a dumb idea made even dumber when there are actually 3 MAC games and only one is on TV like tonight. The EMU and BSU games are on ESPN3. What in the world is the point of playing in the middle of the week if you can't get the so called "exposure" the league is always looking for? Does nothing but kill interest for meaningless games.
