Like how the article avoids talking about how badly they lost and doesn't mention the final score except in the stat at the top. Only mention of Toledo in the article is that they scored 6 touchdowns in the second half.

Their coverage is totally understandable---at the moment BG is like a dark cloud in search of a silver lining and their freshman qb had a nice night as far as his personal stats went. With him and their freshman RB their offense for the next 3 years shows some possible potential for the future so it is a tempting straw to grasp if you are reduced to grasping for straws.

It'd be denial to say the kid isn't good, so they at least got the headline right. BG got the benefits of the Texas recruiter on this one. If he also develops into a solid college coach, they will be back at the top.

OTOH, the last guy to have a big game for them was the guy this guy replaced. Looking good against our D may not mean much.

and they lose Miller and Redding this year. Their top receivers by far.

What I saw, didn't appear to be luck or a one off. I hear what you're saying, but he was throwing into coverage, exception that TD when our LB released and we had no safety.

That kid's passes were tight. Very quick release. No strain on the deep passes. Nice placement. Patient in the pocket. Not about a big game IMO, not about WRs superior to our defense. It's about what my eyes saw. Unless they manage to uncoach that kid or fail to recruit around him, I think he's going to be good and have a good career.
