Nothing worth strutting about, we were very fortunate to win tonight

Nothing worth strutting about because this was 2nd place game

WMU is capable of doing the same thing Ohio did to beat them; run the ball (Toledo is susceptible to the run) and control the clock.

Since you are such a huge Toledo fan go to their board

Franklin is a good back, maybe he can punish Toledo.

How sweet would it be if MD just left this board and went to Toledo’s?

Hopefully Toledo wears themselves out but WMU won't be interested and Toledo is playing for a title...

I hope Huff is OK; we really need him against CMU! With it being a leg injury I wonder if his high ankle sprain was aggravated?

If he can't go against CMU we need Harbs to be featured. Jones is OK - at times he makes some good runs and other times he does not seem to have good vision and explosiveness; that fumble today was ugly. Since Mister had his fumbling issues, I recall seeing him on only 1 play when he completely whiffed on a pass block.

Harbs is the real deal... Might be better than Huff.

Could be. He is more physical. He runs a 4.61 40 which is quick for such a big back. I don't recall what Huff runs the 40 in. Let's hope the coaches use him like they should and not waste his talent as they did with Huff!

NFL draft board shows a 4.50. However, he’s very shifty.

Not sure the scouts like his injuries but look at TLL’s success.

Huff could have set some records at NIU if he played all four years. He really needs to get the ball more. He has 111 carries in 11 games. That's only 10 per game.

Not trying to knock Childers, but we won't beat good teams with him behind center.

We're barely beating the bad teams with him (Buffalo and EMU). We have struggled in nearly every game he has started except for Ball State and Bowling Green, which are two VERY bad teams.

Pretty funny: "Jordan Huff told Marcus Childers before NIU's opening drive that he was going to score on the first play from scrimmage."

The Childers hate looks so foolish after a big win :):) Hate on!

Huff won this game. All Childers had to do was give the ball to him. 64 yards passing is not going to cut it against good teams and it barely cut it tonight.

Look who the freaking head coach is, a man that doesn't believe passes should be thrown because they have a chance for an interception. NIU receivers run primitive routes due to fear of the pick. There is almost no way for a QB to be consistent in this offense given the coaching handicaps. Childers won the game with a big big TD pass. The hatred of Marcus Childers is so ridiculous . Even if Childers is as bad as you say, what are the alternatives. NIU football program has developed into a QB-eater

Childers has good athletic ability but he has not yet shown much ability in the passing game. Carey seems committed to him so I hope that he improves. Many/most QBs would have struggled in tonight's weather conditions so it is tough to say if he is improving or not.

I am not going to knock his running ability when he is playing with a brace on his leg. Whether he grows into a good QB or not he is a warier.

Whoops, make that warrior not warier ... too many beers tonight

He is by far far far and away the best QB on the roster though

And more importantly, most QBs would struggle in this offense with this coaching staff
