The Victory Yosef goes back to my days at App in the 70's (and before) so that is my preferred logo. I do believe the Block A is the "real" working logo and trademark for App sports and is the one I generally prefer. I was never a big fan of the "Fisherman Logo".

The one on the left, also known as the Morton's Fisherman is for Walmart type App St fans and gear.

I like them both. Mostly because the one on the left incorporates the mountain into the beard of a mountaineer which is neat.

I prefer the block A logo for App. It's like the block stAte logo, but surrounded by a lot less talent.

By my own logic, yes. It has been discussed heavily where the fisherman came from and how it wasn't truely born from App St.

I like Victory Yosef better than the one on the left, but I don't hate either one. Victory Yosef has more history and captures the unique TYPE of mountaineer native to the Appalachian region. That's what we are embracing. The version I hated was the sanitized version in the 80's where they removed the pipe and made everything neat. It basically just looked like a bearded dude with a hat. Absolutely NO character!

I've always hated the Davey Jones/Gorton's/Mountain Beard logo. I genuinely dislike the fact that many of our fans still wear old gear (mostly Russel) that has it on it. I feel like it makes us look like a low rent program, the kind that started with hand-me-downs and old school buses.

Block A or the Old School is the way to go.

My mascot owns a gun, smokes a pipe and drinks clear liquor from a mason jar.

Right. You just cant mess with Yosef's stink eye.

Both look pretty cool. But in the day and age where NFL and MLB are going back to retro unis, I really dig the old school Yosef. I mean who else has a corn cob pipe???

Never been a big fan of "Egyptian Tomb Painting Yosef". Looks like it was drawn by a kid in 1st grade.

I liked the new logo alright. Like others on here, the best and most used logo for athletics at AppState is the block A.

I don't begrudge anyone thier choice of Yosef heads, but I don't wear or buy the Stink Eye Egyptian Yosef on any gear I wear.

Old Yosef (ESPN version from couple years ago was my first Tattoo recently). Like the Block A as well.

The other one has always looked like the Gordon's fisherman to many people.

I like the newer one better myself. The retro one just looks cartoonish. It sort of reminds me of Tulane's silly "angry wave" logo. It looks like it belongs in a 1970s PSA for fire safety for kids (with a green fire).



But I can understand the nostalgic appeal. Lord knows our fan base is guilty of that plenty.
