Goldman Sachs, If You Thought 2017 Was Good, Just Wait for 2018

This news will have the Dems and MSM happy no doubt.....

Quote:This has been a good year for the global economy, and 2018 will follow that trend, analysts at Goldman Sachs said.

Economic growth around the world has picked up steam this year. Germany — Europe's largest economy — grew an unexpectedly strong 0.8 percent in the third quarter. In Japan, the economy has grown for seven straight quarters. Meanwhile, in the U.S., the economy grew 3 percent in the third quarter.

"2017 is shaping up to be the first year of the expansion in which growth surprises to the upside," Goldman analyst Charles Himmelberg said in a note to clients Thursday. "We expect 2018 to deliver more of the same."

Himmelberg and his team expect the global economy to grow 4 percent next year for several reasons, including strong growth momentum, easing financial conditions, global monetary policy remaining "highly accommodative by historical standards" and the likelihood of fiscal stimulus in the U.S.

If we can get to 4% sustained growth, as the article suggests, nearly 50% of our citizens will have NEVER really experienced such a thing (yes, made up that figure).

Two years, 4% on TOP of 4%, we’re talking about a net of of nearly 10% growth in 24 months.

Think about that for equity markets, pension funds, 401ks IRAS etc.

Lot of this bitching and moaning about hats, shoes, tweets, and grabbing snatch just go away. Everyone can take a vacation for a change...

Happy wife = happy life. What makes the little lady happier than not having to fret over the bills???

Besides the tweeting what has Chump done to effect the economy? What if his tax plan ends up costing lots of corporations more? I guess no one else would get the same result.

Goldman Sachs and their ilk have fleeced the public at will. Yeah, it is good economy for the Wall Street crowd, but it still sucks for the main street folks. I take any words from the crooks from Wall Street bankers with a grain of salt. If you believe in that crap from them? I have ocean front property in Arizona to sell you.

Why are you asking here?

Go read up on what he’s proposed, what the congressional tax packages contain and what the vision for growth actually is.

All right there for the taking/consumption, white papers and all.

Why you waiting for someone else to spoon feed you this readily available info?

And if any blind monkey could get the same result, why haven’t they? 30+ yrs in the making?

Strange, eh?

What exactly do you object to?

You don’t think 4% growth for a few years helps “Main Street”?

Where does the money for Dubuque come from? Fairies?

He's a Bernie-Bro. He thinks money grows on trees planted by the Dept of the Interior.
