Middle really needs to hire this coach away from Western....TODAY!

These Middle/Western games have a way of ending up exciting and close. This game was close from start to finish and exciting after 3/4 was over.

If Middle had used the area of the field right behind Western's linebackers....

the MIDDLE, Western would not have stopped you from scoring during the first 3 quarters. I was glad to see Middle keep throwing sideline type passes. It was almost like the Middle coaches had not watched any film on this Western team.

If you haven't noticed there are very few fans who think our coaching staff is anything more than abysmal. Who knows what they do game prep-wise. I'm just glad that I have grown numb to it all. A few years ago I'd be going postal over all of this. Now? Meh...

There's a guy at work who gets torn up about Middle losing. I told him that he misses the essential attitude required to survive as someone who roots for the Raiders.

You have to manage your expectations.

This isn't meant to be overly cynical; It's just a reality for most C-USA teams. Honestly, each year Middle will beat someone they're not supposed to (Mizzou, Syracuse the last two years for example), lose to someone they shouldn't (McNeese State anyone? UTEP a year ago?), and win more than they lose in the lower tier of the conference. Pulling off an upset is fun, but it makes too many fans expect a 10 win season.

For Middle, a 7-5 season is pretty good. Especially considering they schedule non-conference games against quality teams (hoping to boost their resume), and several other C-USA teams are improving every year. Who legitimately thought FAU would pull off this sort of turnaround in their first year under Kiffin?!?!

I thought we were done in on the backwards pass fiasco. That’s what happens when a true freshman doesn’t know what’s going on. Should’ve jumped on the ball just in case.

Then Mike White showed why he’s the best quarterback in CUSA with 2 perfect long throws to get us back into the ball game.

We haven’t been able to throw long all year and do it on back to back drives.

Couldn’t believe our kicker and special teams was able to pull this one out. I can never tell if a kick goes through or not from my seats. I watch the kicker’s body language. When Rooker missed I could tell by watching him. When Nuss hit his I could tell by watching him. And the rest of the Western players.

As badly as Boy Wonder has coached this year, any year we beat Middle is a good year to me.

Thank you Mike White. You’ve taken a beating this year amigo. Yet always got up and represent Western like the class young man you are. And you’re 2-0 vs. Middle. Makes you alright in my book every day.

Our stale old coach says it's "just another game"

Your young pup says he embraces the "100 Miles of Hate"

When I heard this before the game, I already knew what the outcome would be.

But it's hoop season, baby. Enough of this foosball..........
