I could see 12 or so of these 6 loss teams losing Saturday putting the remaining number of teams at 32 or so for the 19 spots. And considering several of the 4-6 teams play each other next week there’s guaranteed to be quite a few more eliminated. At the same time there’s several 5 win teams who could “clinch” this week so the remaining bowl slots will be less. As someone posted on another thread the projections now are anticipating 2 teams with losing record in now games

RE: Week 12 football games with bowl interest
14 of the 6-loss teams are projected to lose this week based on the Sagarin Predictor. Just 8 of the 5-win teams were projected to win and qualify this week.

Akron became eligible team #60 Tuesday night by beating Ohio. The Zips were projected to lose to Ohio but were projected to qualify next week anyway hosting 2-9 Kent State.

RE: Week 12 football games with bowl interest
With just Air Force at Boise State and Utah at Washington still in progress in games on the list, 70 teams are in and 38 are out. If halftime scores hold, it would be 70 in and 39 out when play is completed tonight.

There is a group of 6 teams in 3 set head-to head matchups next week for 3 spots:
Cal at UCLA
Old Dominion at Middle Tennessee
Indiana at Purdue

Could be a 4th head-to-head with Colorado at Utah if Washington maintains its halftime lead over Utah.

Also no more than one of Florida State (at Florida) and Louisiana-Monroe (vs Arkansas State) can qualify since they both must win out and play each other December 2.

That would set up either 3 or 4 remaining spots for the other 11 teams.
Buffalo must win vs Ohio
Duke must win at Wake Forest
Georgia Tech must win vs Georgia
Louisiana Tech must win vs UTSA
Louisiana-Lafayette must win vs Georgia Southern or at Appalachian State
Minnesota must win vs Wisconsin
UNLV must win at Nevada
New Mexico State must at home against both Idaho and South Alabama
Temple must win at Tulsa
Texas Tech must win at Texas
Tulane must win at SMU

Georgia Tech will ask for a waiver with 5 wins because they only played 11 games. They will probably get it and same for UF if they beat FSU

Ole Miss has 5 wins and plays Miss

One thing we know for sure..ant P5 school with 6 (5 with wavier) goes bowling before a P6.

Ole Miss took a self-imposed postseason ban this year.

Waivers should not be granted. 4 teams that had a cancelled game are already playing rescheduled games on December 2. Georgia Tech could reschedule its UCF game if USF pulls the upset. Otherwise try to schedule USF, Florida, Houston, or UTSA as a replacement since those teams are also a game light.

The other teams who lost a game to weather were Georgia State, Arkansas State, and Miami, but they are occupied on December 2.

Granted waivers should only put them at the top of the 5-7 list.

There is no 5-7 list right now as at the moment 79 teams are projected to be at 6+ wins using the list going into this week. That could change when the new list is posted in a few hours.
