Let's talk Gantz
SEASON FGM FGA PCT XPM XPA PTS
2017 0 1 0 2 3 2
2016 2 2 100 6 6 12
2015 21 27 77.8 49 50 112
2014 16 20 80 52 54 100

His first 2 years gave us hope for another Groza Award winner.

Questions:

1. Since he has been injured and has almost no playing time could we get another year of eligibility?

2. Do we want another year or is he "washed up"?

In 2014-5 he went toe to with Elliott for the best in our league. Elliott is doing great in the NFL after the Bungals drafted and released him.

What do you know or think?

RE: Let's talk Gantz
I would have to check in detail, but I think Gantz already used one RS year last year. I guess that would give him one more senior season next year. Maybe I'm wrong...

If what I stated is the case, wouldn't hurt to have him on the roster, we all know what he is capable of. Open the competition - I would hope at least ONE kicker with any kind of ability comes out of the fray. But, I guess I was saying that earlier this year...

I am guessing his injuries ended his career and he just can't do it anymore. If so, then maybe next year he gets to play as a potential red shirt. But You'd probably want him to walk on and not waste a scholly. Hopefully he has gotten his degree.

Kicking and punting is a major area for concern right now. It shouldn't be hard to find a reliable kicker and punter

I think the punter has done a good job. Consider it's his first year he's been a good suprise in a long season.

He's had some issues with low snaps all year, but i think he's in the top 40 net in the country and that's with a hell of a lot of attempts. Very good for a first year us fball guy.
