Because the threads are the most popular threads on the board. So popular that we break the board and have to start up a new one periodically to fix it.

Perhaps we should move it to the CUSA board. They could use a win.

I'm ok with soccer but I'm not a huge fan (I'm not watching the World Cup now because the US is out of it).
But what just gets me is the flopping. I realize flopping is part of the game but it makes me mad and really ruins it for me.
I mean, in other sports you get fined for that bs.
The only thing that come close to soccer flopping is University-6 basketball....when you play them the court is littered with flops. But that's another story....

Id rather read a water polo board than a soccer board. Go for it. My generation was thankfully spared soccer except for rich kids whose moms were afraid they would get hurt playing football.
Correct....soccer is for safe space kids. Kids that need attention from other real sports players. We need bowling threads too

RE: OT : Why have a soccer thread on a college sports message board?
my grade school and junior high didn't even offer soccer
I didn't know soccer was a high school sport until we moved to a big town and the high schools played it
I've played soccer one time in my life, about six years ago with friends of the family and their kids. Not even an official game.
I just wasn't raise with it.

the SEC doesnt even field mens soccer teams. thats gotta tell you something. Im thinking soccer should strictly be a G4 sport.

Since when is this a college football board? Not really a soccer fan, but I'm pretty sure this is an AAC all sports board. Obviously football and men's basketball dominate the discussion, but there has been a decent amount of soccer, baseball, women's basketball, and other sports discussed here as well.

It’s just another thread trying to pit us against each other like the 1%ers want.

Why are there G4 threads on a P6 board?

I watched some soccer'esque flopping out of the Bearkittens yesterday. They replayed it over and over. It seems there's been too much fraternizing between the soccer savages and the bball players.

Then why aren't the OT: video game / OT: soccer threads in the "off-topic" section? All or nothing.
Awful Moderation here.

Let them try to put the soccer thread back in the OT forum. They know what happened last time they were brave enough to try.
