Nebraska gets UCF then a 2nd round game playing West Virginia, and then either St John's or Missouri in the 3rd game.

UConn getting Michigan St in rd 2 would be far more than solid.

Also, have got to remember for Wichita, they did what they did without their leading scorer and rebounder from last year. And they were right there with good Notre Dame team.

3 bids right now is the absolute floor I think for the league. Cincy, Wichita, and Temple look like almost certainties. We'll learn a lot about the others this weekend.

Serious question? What is your obsession with constantly down grading the AAC?

It’s hard being a N.C. State fan.

I agree. SMU could be a NCAA Team come Tournament time, from what I have read/seen they are young but talented, if UConn is respectable they are in, their name is too big to be left out if they are even just good enough, and UCF potentially.

I could see the AAC as being a 5 or 6 bid league easily this season and maybe I'm jumping the gun because don't know how it'll all play out but dare I say 7? I would not be surprised, it's obviously super early but they have a really good basketball conference.

I think 4 is worst case but 6 or 7 is certainly possible.

Six or seven is possible? Okay. By the way I have a bridge for sale I'd like to talk to you about.

A bridge? I think you forgot a few words in your sentence. Good effort though, even if you did fail miserably.

Anyway, here is my thinking on it. (As of now)

Wichita State- In
Temple- In
Cincinnati- In
UCF- Bubble
UConn- Bubble
SMU- Bubble
Houston- Bubble

I think out of those 7 I listed 4 will definitely get in. The other 3 are not impossible.

Instead of trying to sell that bridge, maybe you should do some research?

Hows this for research? Not one of the teams you listed has even one win against a likely tournament team. Wichita and Cincinnati look probable, everyone else has plenty of work to do. When all your bubble teams play each other someone has to lose. Without any quality OOC wins theres no way it will happen. Whats the best win so far in the whole conference? Probably Wichita against Marquette, who is projected for something like 7th or 8th place in their conference.

Well UConn just beat Oregon and SMU beat Arizona, so I'd say that's pretty good.

Yeah that's pretty solid.

Also, for what it's worth, the 7 teams could change. It's 3-5 games into the season lol.

Maybe UConn is the lock and Temple is on the bubble. Maybe 5 are locks. Who knows it's so early.

Just going based on what I see as far as coaches, teams, talent, schedules and so on. I don't believe it's impossible for the AAC to get 6 or maybe even 7 teams in IF things line up right.

They have the conference depth, they are considered a Power conference in basketball. They have the exposure. Maybe I'll be wrong, won't upset me in anyway lol.

not sure what the max is for the AAC. I mean I think you could easily see Cincy, UConn, Temple, SMU, and Wichita get in. Cincy, SMU, and Wichita probably the class of the conference- and UConn and Temple have 2 of the toughest OOC schedules around- helping them get in. If UCF can Houston can work it- 6 or 7 is definitely possible. I think if I were setting an over/under I'd make it like 4.5, and I'd probably take the over right now.

The AAC needs UConn to beat Michigan State tonight after SMU dropped a game to WKU (although they may be a tournament team this year). It's been a bad day for the AAC.

St Bonaventure upsets Maryland and give the A10 a much needed win.

Big Ten not having a good start at all. Huge game coming up for them- Michigan St really needs to beat UConn. Right now it's early but the Big Ten is #8 in conference RPI. Behind not only the AAC, but also the MVC.
