RE: Bowling Green
I guess not a bad game if you take out that 19-0 Bowling Green run. But you've got to have guys who can stop runs like that. We also made Justin Turner look like a superstar.

Hopefully Isabell got the message and corrects whatever he did wrong. Having both him and Overton out hurt.

The new court looked good. Stretch internet improved some but is still inferior to most other video engines, at least for people like me who live in the middle of nowhere with a bad internet connection. Stretch Williams on the other hand looked pretty good.

In other OTHER college basketball news, Terrell Allen played 21 minutes, and went 6-6 from the line with 3 steals and 0 turnovers.

Also, all 5 Indiana State users in double figures. Not a great start, Bru. ESPECIALLY at home.

RE: Bowling Green
Isabell getting suspended is a bad sign seeing he had issues at Missouri.

Nice crowd. Great student turnout, but they need to get up and get loud, especially in the second half when the opponent is shooting at their end. Hopefully people continue showing up.

Decent first half once the opening night jitters were played through. Stretch looked awesome. Kudos to Bowling Green’s coach for stressing attacking the paint after halftime. They landed a haymaker and got Stretch and some of the younger bigs in foul trouble, and we just weren’t able to regain our bearings.

I’m concerned we’re going to miss Kari if someone doesn’t show some consistency in shooting from deep. Bowling Green wasn’t worried at all in the second half and really clogged up the interior on defense. Need a deep threat to space the opposition out.

RE: Bowling Green
We had a great time at the game. First DAC game since the women blew a big lead to ECU in a WNIT game in 2010. I bookended things with collapses. Hopefully it's out of my system. My wife got stuck in the bathroom stall around the time they made their run. A nice woman gave us a free shirt.

Nice to see so many DAC Pack classes coming back. I saw echoes of Sam Houston, NC State last night. I hope the program can give current students memories that will keep them coming back too.

Totally different atmosphere in a good way. I don't think it's me being kindler/gentler with a 3 year old. Spiker is a breath of fresh air. Team doesn't seem all uptight. I hope it works out for all of us.

I hate to say this after years of bad offense...but bad d will start to aggravate me. We need to close out harder on shooters. At least get a hand in their face. A little d would've given us a chance to adjust to their double team of our post. i trust coach spiker sees it and will work on it. Rome wasn't built in a day.

RE: Bowling Green
I said this at the game, and tweeted it. Last night's bad play was not ability, I blame it more on personnel.

Austin Williams was a BEAST in the first half and under-utilized in the second. His court vision is improved and his vertical is unreal. At one point, Kurk Lee and Troy Harper were 3 for 15 while the rest of the team was 16 for 20.

Now, that is not a NEGATIVE reflection on Lee and Harper. One of the things that Harper is known for is his ability to get to the line. He was one of the best in the country in that aspect a few years ago. And Lee was contributing in other ways. Kararinas (SP?) was looking SOFT and that is something that he needs to work on, as well as just understanding the game more. At one point, while taking direction to the bench, he motioned with his arm the exact cut he was going to make on an inbound play.

When I say the issue was personnel, the team had three guys on the bench who could have made a real difference for them. I agree whole heartedly with everyone here that Isabell needs to learn to cool his jets. Hopefully he got the message. I'm looking forward to Overton being healthy but I have not heard a timetable. And lastly, Demir is going to be a breath of fresh air I think. He was described the other day as "the glue that brings this team together."

Harper seems to be healthy by all indications, and Lee seems to be okay after sitting out the scrimmage last weekend. It was a tough loss, but not devoid of positives.

RE: Bowling Green
No doubt there were positives, but the lack of defense and lack of being able to step up to end a run while at home at definitely concerning, regardless of personnel.

As far as the court goes, I am not a fan. I still think the baseline lettering is backwards, they should be blue with yellow outlines not the yellow lettering with blue background. For such an awesome logo we have it still appears bland and boring to me, The last design was a bit much but I think they went the opposite way with this one. The streaming on caa.tv worked well for me and I enjoyed it despite not being actual tv. The sound seemed off to me but overall I was pleased with the streaming as opposed to in years' past.

I like the court design, but I agree with you that the Drexel and Dragons should be blue. Yellow is too hard of a color to see, especially on TV.
