GT made the trip without Okogie and Jackson. So between the teams they've now made an entire team's worth of ineligible players. Do Chinese students have eligibility under NCAA rules?

The latest report I heard is that the three UCLA players may be held in China under house arrest for 20 days, then expelled from China and never allowed to return.

The first part of that leads me to a question. If any other student at UCLA were to miss this much time from (all of their) classes this late in the first semester, would they be likely to post academic results sufficient to keep them eligible to play in the second semester? Or would they need some sort of waiver from the school to avoid that?
