I assume these 2 are part of the 15 season ending injuries noted per another thread. Anyone have a list of all 15? Who's behind Jarv at RB? Ekwoge?

Matt Falcon maybe? Maybe slide Eskridge into the backfield for certain plays? I think Alex Grace was a good HS RB...maybe he moves over from LB. After Jarv, Ekwoge and Falcon, only 1 true RB left on the roster (Prince Walker) and he is (was?) redshirting. May need to get creative.

Watched the presser. Falcon sounds like the back-up. Ekwoge injured as well but sounds as if he'll play. Moved walk-on WR Rashean Davie to RB. Doesn't want to burn Prince Walker's redshirt but could be an option. Doyle back on O-line. Giovanni Ricci out for regular season with ruptured spleen (from Buffalo game). Sounds brutal. Haven't heard anything on Ginwright in awhile. Is he one of the 2 ACL's (along with Tranquill)?

Hoping to see a healthy dose of Jarv & Falcon, with a mix of Eskridge around the end/in space. Will need all the help we can get from the O-line to open holes and create room. I'm cautiously optimistic about Falcon.

Hang on guys & gals, should be an interesting ride.

What happened to Bogan? I never noticed him getting an injury. Against CMU?

Good thing we have WMU’s all-time TD leader along with a former 4-Star U of M back. Pretty amazing these are all last remaining options after 3 guys go down for the year.

But seriously... of all the positions... these injuries suck but they are the least of our worries. Injuries at QB and in our secondary are more impactful. If our OL opens up holes, it shouldn’t matter which RB trots out there.

He went down funny on a play at the end of the 3rd qtr. It was right at the WMU sideline and they were tending to him on the ground between the 3rd and 4th qtrs.

Time to activate Kaiser Carleton, PWO?

Bogan seems like a really good kid, I’m sure he will still be heavily involved in day to day matters. Watching film, scouting opponents, etc. Really hate seeing these kids continue to go down with injuries.

Tough year.

After the CMU game fallout, I didn’t care much about some bowl at 6-6. But in the big picture, it’d be advantageous to get to one.

Sure, maybe we’ll lose and we’ll have to stomach a losing record (assuming we don’t upset NIU or Toledo). But it’s an extra game for all these youngsters to sharpen their skills, and could also be a road-trip bonding experience for the staff and players; that is, some players who are still adjusting and level setting to the change.

This season may wind up in the books as a disappointment, exacerbated by injuries. But just like in 2013 with Fleck, will want to see how things shape up in Year 2/3 before really sizing up Lester as a head coach.

Reminds me more of 2012 than 2013. We were snake bitten with injuries then, including losing our QB.

I am super excited to see the debut of Matt Falcon! He could be huge for us down the stretch and really be big for next season!

Don't burn the redshirt on Walker, he looked really good in the Spring Game but also confused at times. Damn, we had four worthy starters and we're down to one.

Bogan has a foot fracture. If you haven't seen Falcon you will be impressed. It will take him snaps to get to game speed. He's 6'2 about 230# and wicked fast. 15 players out is highly unusual but playing 14 games as we did last year with only a couple major injuries was very unusual.

RE: Bogan, Tucker out for year! What's our RB depth chart?
That is too bad about Bogan. Great player, and seems like a great kid. Falcon looks like a specimen. How many years will we have him at this point?

Honestly, it seems Franklin does best when he is the only back available, and gets a lot of carries. I really like when we used to throw to him, which we haven't done nearly as much this year. He has good hands for a RB, and with a little space allowing him to get the freight train moving, the guy can gain a bunch. I think we will still be fine in the backfield. The new QB can run too, and although hasn't impressed with his arm, does seem to run the ball with some toughness, and even in the limited snaps we have been able to watch him so far he has had several plays where defenders have seemingly had him for a sack, and he pulled out of it. I think he would do well with some plays designed from the beginning for him to run. That would take some focus off Franklin.
