RE: Iiiiiiiit's HATE week!
25-40% of App's recruits the last three years are from the state of GA. We have been very successful recruiting kids from ATL and northern GA that don't mind leaving the big city life.

Because GA is a fertile recruiting area. Plenty of recruits to be had, only 4 Georgia FBS schools to compete against. Several schools recruit Georgia heavily including App for those reasons.

Add that with the fact that a majority of high school coaches in Georgia are Georgia Southern alums and any coach who slides in here should have no problem consistently being top 3 in recruiting in the conference.

Is that a true statement? I know there are a lot of them, and something was just published about that recently, but I don't think it's a majority. Possibly a plurality, although even that might be a stretch. I'd call it a significant number and leave it at that.

Maybe I worded it incorrectly. I meant that Georgia Southern has the highest number of alums out of any other school in the ranks of Georgia high school coaches. What I originally said made it sound like over 50% of coaches we’re from GS.

Wondering how many scores App will give up this time before trying to score, 14-0 maybe?

Sad it doesn't look like snow though, but rain during the day and down to 32 degs at night.

When both teams are operating at full capacity (meaning having 9 to 10+ wins every year for multiple years), which is the better coaching job? Which program has a higher ceiling? Where would you see your program in 10 years given that they are 10 years of success?

I only ask this because neither program has been FBS long enough to see sustained success although App is on the cusp if they can continue their stride for 1-2 more years.

Ceiling is probably pretty comparable. App's financial situation is probably better at this time, which can change.

If I'm a coach I'd pick App due to patience of fanbase and location, but I'm biased of course.

Do you still think Scott Satterfield and Tyson Summers are in any way comparable?

If App loses, then yes.

No. Apparently it was just TrueBlueDrew. Those 45 pages were about him and his twitter, according to him.

Ha! Thanks for the clarification. I didn’t have time to read all of that thread. I’ve been
busy putting our defense on milk cartons.

Nothing official that I've seen, but he has redshirted for this year and will graduate, he has been looking at grad transfer spots. No one really knows what the issue is/was.
