Don't forget that it's the seniors' last game ever in Waldo! A senior class that owns more wins than any other Bronco class before it. They deserve our support, even if you think the coaching staff doesn't.

They do. But attendance is going to be terrible. No more than 5,000 will be in the stands. They might sell more, but I can't see people showing up to watch this team.

I'm not even going to waste the 3 hours on watching the game, and they are likely to win. I am going to start over next year.

No f'ing way do they deserve anything less than my ABSOLUTE support on this day!

I will make the 3 hour drive and I will give every single player a standing ovation.

Be pissed at the coaches, be pissed at missed plays, be pissed at the weather, be pissed at the administration.

These players have puked, bled, and been broken for this university. And they haven't asked you for anything in return. At the very least, they deserve a little gratitude.

How fair weather can you be...

Some of us have to work, anyway, so it's not like I was making the hour drive to begin with. Not everyone can have banker's hours.

Edit: I'm not the only one who's advocated skipping this game, so, knock it off with the witch hunt.

No witch hunt, you're asking people to stay home to show the coaches that we're upset about how we lost to Central. You weren't saying, don't go if you can't make it because of work.

04-chairshot
It is should also be unacceptable for fans to walkout on their team at half time. A team that was leading their Rival school at the time.

I'll be there like I have been before most of you were pooping yellow. I think the seniors who have won some 34 games the last four years are planning on showing up.

This, right here, is absolutely true, and this sort of thing is how high expectations become an internal drive for everyone connected to the program, not whining.

Not banker's hours...teacher's hours. In at 7, out at 3:30 then hauling my butt as fast (maybe faster) than the legal speed limit will allow.

I'm not intending to "witch hunt" or anything of the sort, but these players deserve support. For all of the complaining that we have all done about students not showing, people leaving at halftime, people wearing UofM gear to a game, staying home because of the rain, etc...to actively skip Senior Night as a passive protest of frustration with the coaches seems a little misdirected to me. But it is just my opinion.

Work is a whole different matter...

Indeed, the over-the-top vitriol on this board is getting tiresome.

We lost to CMU, we blew a lead and it's plenty frustrating. Probably a lot more frustrating for the coaches and players than the fans. But let it go.

Next game we can start a new winning streak. That's football.

But, if you want to stay at home to make some kind of an infantile point, have at it. You're a fool, but have at it.

Some of us caught a lot of **** for buying into and believing in what Fleck built early on, even when it wasn’t “popular” and people couldn’t see past the W’s and L’s during the infamous Nicholls and 1-11 season.

Same applies here.

The disdain wasn’t wildly “popular” 4-6 weeks ago, but the signs were all there. Now, we are seeing it in the W and L column.

So yeah, I’m not going to stop being critical until I see something significant to change my mind. I care too much about WMU to play dumb and see through rose colored glasses that everything’s going to be fine... “just because” or it gets “tiresome”...

We should expect more.

Fine, expect more. But don't take it out on players who busted their azzes representing our school for 4-5 years. They deserve nothing less than our loyalty, respect and support-win or lose. Boycotting games to send some sort of message to Kathy is infantile. Write her a letter if you want, but be there for the players who have been there for us.

We should expect more. I'm pretty sure most of us did expect more than to lose to Akron and CMU. I think we should be critical of shortcomings.

However, I also think that we should be supportive of the athletes trying to work through the process.

I don't think that high expectations and support when they aren't met have to be mutually exclusive.

If staying home from the game(s) is in someone's best interests financially, is best for their ability to manage disappointment and stress, is how they feel their voice is best heard, more power to them and I wish them well.

None of this is about "playing dumb" or "looking through rose color glasses". I was just as pissed and disappointed as anyone at some of the things that have happened this season. I'm pissed and disappointed today. But, for 10 minutes on Wednesday night, I'm going to put "me" aside and pay my respects to the effort and lifelong memories that these players have given me.

I'll go back to being pissed Thursday.

Isn't the coaching staff part of this? Don't you think it sucks for someone like Jarvion Franklin to be going out as a senior one year after being in the Cotton Bowl to potentially not even get to a bowl game. I think us being ticked about the coaching staff pales in comparison. I doubt they even think about fans being ticked at Lester. They aren't thinking, man if only Hoejkness didn't boycott, we would of won.

I can't speak for anyone else, but my gripes with the coaching staff are because I support these players. I know they are better than this. They've shown it. I know they give it their all. They deserve better from the coaching staff.

Who’s taking it out on the players and boycotting games? You are mixing up people on this board. I’ve never said as much. Keep track of who says what if you’re going to make wreckless false accusations like that.

Looks like it was just one poster who said to stay home. The rest of the vitriol is misdirected at the critics, very few of whom have ever said to boycott anything.

I'll be in the stands again, just like I was last game. Save the self-righteous garbage. We support the players. We support the program. We are allowed to be critical of the administration and coaches.
