Our first year we did improve later in the season under Fleck. I actually bet I think $500 or so on US against our final game against NIU who was undefeated. I won. We beat the huge spread. We actually had an early lead at some early point. I could tell we were improving, coming in.
Hopefully we can "finish the large dog off", beat Kent Soundly, and take @NIU + @Toledo close.

I thought TL was keeping the culture intact? If so, where has all this gone?
That's right, it's in the trash in favor of moping on the sidelines appearing aloof and disinterested in the offensive huddle at the sideline.
Hate Fleck all you want, but there's no denying the kids were eating, breathing, and living these mantras.
Not only were the players eating, breathing, and living these mantras, the 29-11 record over the last 3 years, undefeated 2016, top 15 ranking, NY6 bowl, Gameday in Kzoo, etc. shows that it works (not to mention the energized fan base and donors willing to throw big $$ to keep the momentum going). Does anyone honestly think that if TL was hired 5 years ago instead of Fleck we would have seen these things happen?
