I am sick of having to take days off of work to attend a game or 2 at NIU. In the dark ...in the cold. It's BS
Today's game vs. Toledo...a FIVE P.M. KICKOFF????!!!!! WTH??
And not even on ESPN2, it's on ESPNU. WTF?
Everybody gets ESPNU, not a big difference
Actually, some cable providers break out ESPNU separately & put it in the more expensive pkg. tier. We had to upgrade to be able to get ESPNU and CBSSN to see Huskie games. as soon as football season ends I will go back to cheaper TV pkg.
What TV provider do you have? With Directv you dont have to go too much more than the base package to get it. ESPNU is in 74 million homes.
ESPNU is equivalent to ESPN3 after ESPN and ESPN2.
Last year, if my memory is correct we had more games covered on ESPN2.
When I stream online, I get ESPN2 but not ESPNU and have had no luck trying to find CBSSN!
Worse of all commercial establishments which I am aware of when traveling do not offer CBSSN.
Seven and HFA have a valid claim which is shared by millions of Americans.
Not everyone buys Direct TV.
MAC fans need to unite in protest against this poor coverage, without significant compensation. If the MAC profits by destroying the Saturday fan base, then the conference needs to provide incentives to fans to attend these games.
Blankets, free coffee, free soda is one part of the compensation.
Proper media coverage is another part.
NIU games traditionally draw well with television audiences.
NIU seems to have grown a loyal viewing fan base.
It seems that NIU is being screwed here by ESPN.
Why is the possibility of NIU like Norte Dame having their own TV rights?
Can the MAC have their own channel like the B1G?
I would be willing to pay for a MAC football channel, to show my online support for NIU FB.
Would enough MAC supporters be willing to do the same?
