RE: Stats
We own the 4th quarter, bichez! Of course 5 of our 7 opponents likely cleared their benches so there is that.

At least we owned the Foreskins in the 4th.

Navy really skewing UC's run defense stats. that's honestly been a strength minus the Navy game.

RE: Stats
No surprise for our points off turnovers vs. the opposition. We've also been outscored 136-60 in the first two quarters.

Surprising that UC is pretty comparable vs. the opposition in penalties/yards, scoring in the red zone and 3rd down conversions.

Our kick and punt returns avg. against our opponents has been stellar.

Yeah, I know. We're still 2-5.

Especially in between the tackles. We've been very stout in the middle. Teams have had their success on the outside by and large.

Warren has emerged as our best KR option by far. He seems to have much better vision back there to see the lanes opening. Best we've had in a few years IMO.

RE: Stats
Doaks is averaging 4.6 yds/carry and Warren 5.9. Not bad considering our O Line play.

RUSHING Att Gain Loss Net Avg TD Long Avg/G
DOAKS 57 265 5 260 4.6 2 31 43.3
BOONE 49 195 11 184 3.8 2 26 36.8
WARREN 28 166 2 164 5.9 1 27 23.4

RE: Stats
Anyone here guess that UC has averaged less penalties per game for less penalty yardage than our opponents?

Not me. Although USF and Michigan stick out as particularly sloppy on that front.

WARREN 28 166 2 164 5.9 1 27 23.4

Those two have gotten their biggest gains on misdirection routes. Both also have done very well at picking up additional yardage after contact (can recall several strong stiff arms Mr. Doaks has handed out).

Doaks is definitely more about power and Warren is a shifty, spin, and balanced runner. I think they both compliment each other very well. Can't wait to see how they perform over the next 5 games on the schedule.

That is a dagger as you pretty much abandon the run game at that time, yeah you run a little but it is more for show.
