CUSA Bowl Situation
So what's the situation?

With no "premier" bowl tie in this year, we seem to be left without a matchup against a "power" team.

Assuming your school won CUSA this year, what bowl would you want to see your team in? Who would you want to see your team play against?

Boca Raton Bowl vs. American
Armed Forces Bowl vs. Army
New Mexico Bowl vs. Mountain West
Gasparilla Bowl vs. American
Bahamas Bowl vs. MAC
New Orleans Bowl vs. Sun Belt
Other

Let's take it to a poll, shall we...

Assuming Marshall wins CUSA, I want the Boca Bowl against UCF.

I want a bowl of punch big enough to make me forget about this season.

No appeal if no p5. Thats pretty much it. Even a bad p5.

Remember that amazing bowl win we had vs Northern Illinois? Yeah, no one else does either. But they remember the win over Maryland

I would choose Independence bowl if it is available. Also, is there any chance for a C-USA team to still get a HOD bowl bid?

HOD was sold off by our wise commissioner.

And look, I get that we all want to play a P5 but it's just not going to happen. If we can't get a power conference game when we were 13-1, do you think that we're going to get one this year?

But what if either of the conferences cannot uphold their tie-in? Are we at least a secondary conference to send a team?

Yeah, I think if the SEC and ACC can't fill the Independence, we could sneak in. But I don't trust ESPN. They'll find a way to keep us out.

You know, if FAU wins CUSA...I've always wondered how your fans would feel about going to the Boca Bowl as essentially a home game.

Do you think most FAU fans would want that? Again, we're going under the impression these are our tie ins.

I am sure that the City of Boca Raton would certainly enjoy this. If the Owls are going to the Boca Raton bowl - I AM THERE. You can take that to the bank.

I am not suggesting that the Owls will win the C-USA. That would be awesome, but let's be honest, totally unexpected.

Not a huge fan of any of these honestly. I would probably say New Mexico because it’s with travel distance.

The Boca Raton bowl would be awful. It would just be a weekday home game which is no fun for fans or players.
Also I don't see why that bowl would want FAU since this bowl has been one of better traveled G-5 bowl game. They would been forgoing 10-15k fans not getting hotels, eating out etc. FAU would just be going on like normal week and have to cut out of work early on a Tuesday.

We could have gone to play Illinois in 2014... Doc opted to play the highest ranked team available (#23 NIU)

Will UAB even be able to go bowling? Arent yall in probation mode for two years since u basically started up a program again? I know in 2013, utsa went 7-5 but we couldn't go cause we fell victim to the whole two year fbs transition thing. Damn shame cause we would have gone, even back when there were less bowls.
