If we are going to lose against App, Troy and ArkSt wish it was later in the season to show how far we are off from the top. Our coach and AD will jump all over finishing up the last few games .500 or better like we won a NC. Our first win of the season might get our lead to a parade by the clowns in charge at this point.

Interesting nothing said about the Oct 21st game. We are at the same point with Whip, who has a year left on his contract. Guessing the feeling is mutual, who ever teams losses, the fan base will be going Ape-sh|t. Think we have only played once in 1998 and kind of shocked you.

I was just limiting it to conference and yes you got lucky in 1998 with the weather and turnover gifts we gave you. You did not stop us we did. I hated playing in Chattanooga the weather always was a factor. Dry field and good weather we curb stomp you easily. The next year we corrected the loss and shut that little loud mouth RB up that said "They owned the South" after the Furman playoff win in 1999.

You guys put up points and did well against at least an athletic UT team. I figure going in we will be the underdog by 7-10.

In 1988 the wet weather and 7 turnovers sure hurt but GS being unable to stop Marcel Shipp from running straight up the middle for 244 yards and 3 TD's hurt just as much. GS never had the lead in that game.

In 1999 GS did a much better job defensively and in ball security and the scoreboard reflected that. That 1999 playoff game featured one of the greatest individual performances I ever saw with Adrian Peterson going for 333 yards rushing and 5 TD's... unbelievable.

Without 7 turnovers the game is not close we scored 43 points with that many turnovers. They dont score near 55 without them as they got 31 points off those turnovers...and that RB does not have 244 yards without seven extra possessions. They could not stop us atl all. We ran at will until we fumbled. I remember AP having gloves on at one point and staring at his hands on the side line in disbelief like how is this happening. Everything went wrong that day the better team did not win, just the better / weather luckier team that day. If we only had six turnovers we probably win is the crazy part.

I don't know about six, but I know a team can win with five. 04-cheers

Weren't 3 of the turnovers inside the GS 20? I know the first 2 were that put them in the hole 14-0. Greg Hill had a tough day too although he was responsible for a boatload of yards.

And to compound the heartbreak GS was 14-0-0 going into the game before the implosion.

Make no mistake Summers is coaching for his job these last 8 games. the AD will replace him after the his season barring a big turnaround. Either Kleinlen will act or he will be gone too
