But the Marshall game was also a disaster and they are not that great of a team.

Being out manned is one thing, but being out of position, or appearing to have no clue what is happening when you are on defense in game 5 is very disappointing and troubling and I think reflects on coaching to some degree.

And UC is still making some dumb penalties.

Bolded, none of us were happy with the Marshall loss. But they are 4-1 and may not lose another game in a fairly weak C-USA. UC's 7th game this Saturday will be against the 4th top 25 opponent this season. I'm not sure there was a Big East season with that many quality opponents by the midpoint of the season.

I do agree with those who believe a big turnaround next year is improbable. Six wins and a bowl next year would be greatly appreciated but this appears to be as big a rebuild as the interior of 5th/3rd Arena.

2010, ironically...at Fresno, at NC State with a guy who has won a Super Bowl at QB (Russel Wilson), Oklahoma at home, UL on the road....a 10 win Miami (OH) team was mixed in there somewhere. That was a brutal schedule when you throw in a 9 win WVU team on the road and 4 additional 8 win teams on the schedule in USF, Syracuse, UCONN and PITT that year. Other than Rutgers, the other 10 FBS teams we played won 8 games or more that year.

That year, like this one....if you sit down to the poker table and don't know who the worst player is, its probably you.
