Hopefully we can experience another bowl venue than the Camellia this year. New Orleans sounds good to me!

SI has us playing a team we've already played.
The NO bowl/ Indy bowl vs tech would be the dream. We know the NO bowl likes big crowds. Maybe they'd gamble on that game.

I doubt the Cure Bowl wants Idaho or NMSU...no offense to them, but who would travel? I know Orlando is a destination city and I'm sure some of the wealthier fans from Idaho & NMSU would fly in but you'd have ZERO drive in fans...you need them for numbers and ticket sales.
Astate was a stretch last year for them but some folk could and did drive to that game including me. Great bowl game btw so if you get your team in the bowl, it's worth attending.

I would really like for Troy to play in the Camellia Bowl. I don't want a third bowl game in Mobile.

Sorry, anybody gambling for a crowd is not taking ULM.
Troy, App and Ark State will all bring bigger crowds to any of the SBC Bowls

I've said it once, and I'll say it again.
If ULL isn't eligible, NoLa ain't passing up on the Bourbon Street-starved Troy fans.

ULM would bring a very could crowd to NOLA Bowl. It’s a Saturday game too. 20k easy.

You and I both know that's not true. ULM is getting 8K for home games; now you're saying 20K people are going to pay $40 a ticket to go the NOLA Bowl?

Interesting issue there, because if Troy makes it past NOLA there is no doubt that Mobile will take them. So, what Montgomery does depends on who else is out there, but wouldn't surprise me to see them pass on App if it is available as there was a nice drop off in attendance last season from App's first trip.

Please don’t speak for me. The crowd at the UNT game in 2012 had maybe 9-10k and 25k showed to Indy Bowl. It was freezing and in Shreveport. NOLA and being inside would bring 20k.

NOLA Bowl with ULM would EASY be 20k. I agree. We win we have a crowd and our fan base has been wanting NOLA Bowl for years. People are still on the fence whether we are good or not, but if we can keep winning and go to NOLA then they will come. Northeast Louisiana football fans are very use to going to New Orleans for high school championships and would go for ULM.

One reason I hope App gets selected for the NO Bowl is to change up the opponent's league. La Tech or Marshall or USM in NO would be a real treat to experience since all those teams are known to travel well, and App knows how to pack a bowl.
