But it really is possible. We seem to be peaking at the right time where as we peaked early last year.

It's very possible Troy gets Ranked again. A 11-1 Troy with A 7-5 or better LSU would be a good resume for NY6 bowl

Its a real shame we'll have to crush all your hopes and dreams again...but someone has to do it.

Troy didn't even play that good and LSU was overrated. They could go 11-1 but it's a long season.

They have to figure out a way to beat us first. I mean that half jokingly.

I was thinking this as well. Not just us either, its the Sun Belt we had and 0-4 team win the conference last year.

You could also take solace that its' been a very long time since an SBC champ defeated a P5 opponent. Fairly confident Troy in 07 was the last one.

Every league team seems to have one "bogey team" a conference opponent that seems to always play them tough and often wins, regardless what records say. For Troy, that team is Georgia Southern.

For GS it is every Sun Belt team this year as well as all our OOC opponents.

I think Southern will move into the previously category after this season.

Depends on how SDSU and UCF do.... if they lose we could be in a NY6 bowl, currently they are ahead of Troy in G5 in the polls

Otherwise we would be in a sun belt bowl likely

Does the Sun Belt Champion get to pick which Sun Belt bowl game it plays in? If so, which bowl game would an 11-1 Troy likely pick? I'd think you guys would want to face the best possible opponent in a bowl game. Which Sun Belt bowl is the most likely to offer that matchup?

The real question is can any SBC team beat A-State and Troy is just on the wrong end of their schedule.

If Georgia Southern does not get them it is unlikely anyone will, this year or next.

I don't think we get to pick. But it would be either New Orleans or dollar general likely as those two get first pick depending on the year.

The cure bowl has the best opponent usually as it's a AAC school. But gets the past sbc school pick

Karl just talked about this on @Sports radio740 with Barry McKnight. The champ isn't locked into a specific game. They'll be looking for the best bowl match-ups...

Should we have a new poll to see if people think they will be 10-2?

I think that would be good poll to have.

Does Troy win a bowl game and finish 11-2? 02-13-banana

I think it's possible, still. So many schools have to vacate wins because of idiocy. In those instances, does the team that lost get to call that a win?

7-5 to 10-2. Arkansas State can certainly beat us, which puts us at 9-3, I suppose GS or Idaho could get us. Not seeing any other losses.

This was a rivalry game after a huge win for Troy. Going forward, we're not going to play like we did on Wednesday. Credit to you guys for playing a great ballgame, but Troy had a hand in their own demise, one that can be fixed going forward.
