Ball State......Youth Day
7 pm start on youth day makes no sense. Wanted to bring my young Kids to the game but coming from southeast Michigan makes it unrealistic. Seems like someone wasn't thinking. Thank goodness for ESPN 3.

I think it's band day too, so there will be a lot of area high schoolers at the game with the band.

Man i hated night band days. The high school bands are not used to days that long and none of them want to be there by halftime.

I know a jr hi football coach who had plans to bring his whole team to YOUTH DAY. That will not happen now. 01-wingedeagle

Unfortunately, WMU has no choice on start time, with one exception. The ESPN contract allows home teams to set the time for their Homecoming game.

My two kids would savor any chance to stay up late, but maybe they were an exception. No school the next day.

It's better to have band day at night. The HS band members have to be at Waldo at the crack of dawn for 1pm kickoffs. They spend 3-4 hours practicing with the BMB. This is after playing Friday night until past 9pm . Some schools are 1.5-2 hrs from Kazoo. Since when did HS kids get a 9pm Saturday night curfew?

Yep, exactly. I'd do this when I was kid going to games at Waldo.
