LOL, Houston dominated the MVC in the 50's? Hardly. Cincy entered the MVC for the '57-'58 season and won the conference championship in '58, '59, '60, '61, '62 and '63, along with five consecutive Final Fours. Bradley, St. Louis and Wichita were worthy competitors but Houston was a non-factor. Houston never once beat Cincinnati in the '50's or the 60's and pretty much still hasn't. What is Houston's record against Cincy? Something like 1-28. But you're entitled to your fantasies about Houston's "dominance". "Futility" might have been a more apt description.

I really wanted him to come to Cincinnati, but I am glad he is going to Houston instead of the ACC. Congrats! I think he's going to be a really good player. Jacob Evans was a high school point guard of similar stature and recruiting rating, and he has worked out really well for us.

And here I am silently crying about Frank Haith's highly questionable recruiting strategy.... (Not prohibited by the NCAA, just really piss poor recruiting)

Should the Shockers take credit for tipping the scales for Houston? Better teams, better conference, better recruits. #MediaDarling

Koch looks like a very tough place to play. From what I have seen, I would definitely put it in the top 25 toughest places to play in the country. Moody, Gampel, and Fifth Third are up there as well. I think you guys are going to enjoy the challenge of some of the hostile road environments in this league.

I don't doubt that most road AAC environments will be challenging. We got somewhat used to that in the Valley (of course at a lower level). A team would average 3-4 thousand fans but when the Shocks came to town, they would pack in 8 thousand. However, that would include 1000+ Shocker fans at most road events. I expect the same but many AAC environments won't include 1000 Shox fans. The opposing team will use up most tickets.

How long is the current win streak? Because Im pretty sure UC enters into this season with the 2nd longest home win streak in CBB.

We stand at a 26 game win streak at the moment.

Unfortunately we can't add to it since were playing off campus.

Any way, regarding Hinton. I like his defense and actually think he defends like a UC player not some who plays for Houston. He will really enjoy the NIT though. Our Guard talent is probably a little intimidating, we just landed a 4 star Pure PG, then Cane Broome, Justin Jenifer, Keith Williams, Trevor Moore, Jacob Evans and Jarron Cumberland would all be on the team when Hinton arrived on campus at UC. and 4 of them will be here 2-3 years longer too. Just too crowded to pick up a quality combo guard.

Officially the streak is 10 straight. Not counting the "home" loss to OSU last year that was actually at Intrust Bank Arena instead of Koch Area its 16 games. They lost the last game of the 2016 year to UNI at home which ended the home win streak at 43 games. Dating back to 2013 WSU is 59-1 in Koch Arena (plus 3-1 in Intrust Bank Arena) if my math is right
