Yup....no issue with Dabo or the Football Program from me....their secret weapon is Brent Venables...maybe the best College DC in the nation.

I would agree with that, although Bud Foster is no slouch. In fact, if I were to compare Clemson's coaching staff to Virginia Tech's I'd say that the teaching/coaching/play-calling parts are virtually even; where Clemson has the advantage is superior recruiting. I know VT is working hard to improve recruiting, but it takes time to build a pipeline and fill it.

If Clemson wins in Blacksburg in 2 weeks (and no doubt the Tigers will be favored) it won't be because Brent Venables beat Bud Foster on the chalkboard, or because Dabo Swinney out-coached Justin Fuente on the sidelines... it'll be because Clemson beat VT in the living rooms and on the cell phones and whatever else recruiters use these days...

Just shows how far the talent gap is between Clemson and Louisville. Clemson has a good shot at repeating

I'm not willing to give up on Sirmon yet. He's young & unproven, let's see how he recruits & if he improves over the season or next.

I'm neutral on Bobby Petrino. He is in year four of his seven year contract. I will wait and see if he has peaked or moving to a higher level. However, my gut feeling is he may have peaked. Time will tell.07-coffee3
