3 Weeks are in the books. I think we have a better idea of how our teams are looking. Predict your record against the remainder of your schedule. Who do you beat? Who do you lose to?

Not enough for me and my FAU Owls. However, after this coming Saturday, I will have an idea. We beat Buffalo, and we are a bowl team. If not - another sub-par season.

I think so. We have much more talent.

Buffalo gave Minnesota a much better game then Middle Tennessee did, and only lost to Army by 4 at West Point. They are good. But, I hope FAU wins.

I still think UTSA goes undeafeated (if healthy). But I think if they lose, it will maybe be against USM or UNT or both. Sorry Latech, you guys just don't look like last year, probably because of the three play makers that graduated like I mentioned preseason.

But Minnesota is nowhere near Wisconsin. FAU accounted well for itself there, I believe.

No offense taken here. I think it's UTSA's to lose at this point. If we beat SC next week then I may change my mind

As much as I hate to say it, right now UTSA does look like they could go undefeated.... But, there is a lot of football left to play.

As much as I hate to say it, right now UTSA does look like they could go undefeated.... But, there is a lot of football left to play.

History has proven the best team in the west always sh!tz the bed against Southern Miss. Hoping he trend continues this season. I expected UTSA to do well.

Probably wont win next week, after that who knows. I think we'll be bowl eligible but it might be close.

I would think we could find 4 wins in conference. But if our offense doesn't get going, who knows?

I think we'll be favored against Charlotte, Rice, and UTEP.

If we can steal one of USM, UNT, Tech, and Middle, we'd be 6-6 and bowl eligible.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but are we just assuming that UTSA wins AT LaTech?

Not assuming, but I'm predicting right now after week 3 that UTSA will win. Latech hasn't really impressed me this year and shown a noticeable difference from last years offense. Just my opinion. It may change as the weeks go by.7!

I won't venture to predict who'll beat us though because it frankly could be anyone. We had blowout wins over USM and MTSU last year, but also struggled to beat a hapless Rice team by a single point, and only because of the Owls' two missed field goals. Then we even lost at home to UTEP.

I don't see us being quite that unpredictable this season, as the continuity of having our current staff a second consecutive season will certainly help in that regard, but undefeated? We're getting ahead of ourselves there. Our offense still has question marks, as does our special teams. I will GUARANTEE you though that if we did go undefeated this year, our entire coaching staff will be somewhere else next season.

Well yeah it may look unreasonable to look at an undeafeated regular season if you are only looking at last year to this year records, which I'm not. I'm not sure if you read the title of the thread, but "after 3 weeks", I only see USM and UNT having a solid chance at beating UTSA. Why you can't make a prediction for the rest of the season games but you can make a prediction about next weeks game makes no sense to me. But ok I respect your opinion.

I'm fully aware of the title of this thread. And 3 weeks for us is two games against teams that are an aggregate 1-5 to start the season, which is hardly anything to base a prediction of an undefeated season on, especially if it's taken in conjunction with last year's 6-7 record.

As for predicting a win over Texas State, but not being willing to predict our C-USA portion of the schedule, I have little respect for Texas State as a football program, so little respect for them in fact that I predicted we'd beat them in 2012 (just our second season of football) even though they've had football since 1904. We did just that in 2012, and the game was never really even in question, as we were up 31-14 at one point, and 38-24 with about 3 minutes remaining.
