Anyone on this board who has ever worked the concessions can confirm.

I think Claw's point is more about the one hour plus it takes to cool a case of water in a walk-in vs. the 15 minutes it takes while in direct contact within a cooler full of ice and water. That takes more effort than putting water in a walk-in.
OTOH, are you saying these walk-ins are big enough to house the cases of water all week? Are they turned on all week?

Also, a general question, is, for example, the Lenny's at section 101 supplying there own drinks? I'm pretty sure they must be supplying their own meat and bread. That stuff is Lenny's-specific. I don't think they serve fountain drinks - only bottled sodas and water.

FYI, i probably shouldn't have posted under Claw's comment, as I was really referring to nascar's comments.

The walk-ins at LB are pretty large, and the times i've been in them, i've seen all the bottled drinks, water, etc, along with all food items that need temp control.

I've never been in a "private" company's concession, like Lenny's or Big Lou, but it stands to reason they wouldn't be able to operate a food service without a temp controlled area, per health regs.

Note: I have noticed a small pronto pup stand on the visitor's side that didn't appear to have a walk in cooler.

I'm pretty sure that the beer stand that I go to has a walk-in cooler, as well.

NO. The Beer Stand doesn't have walk in coolers. The kegs are kept in the walk in coolers at the food stands

The beer stand that I go to doesn't serve kegs. It's 16oz cans only.

RE: Liberty Bowl Event Management
The guys and gals who hawk the beer all over the stadium also have to get their ice and drinks from some coolers.

I think the infrastructure is in place to keep all liquids cold, but it may mean coming in before game day and turning on coolers and stocking them adequately, and I believe in my soul that the Liberty Bowl vendor is too darn lazy to do what it takes.

Tomorrow is also going to be a very warm day, and we shall see if any improvements have been made.

As an aside, I remember seeing a sign at one of the concessions which had the name of the vendor on it, and it wasn't the name that I have seen on here. Is there more than one vendor?

Both of you are correct.

But the beer only "carts", like 2-4 spouts only, have the kegs underneath, and a "guy" runs around the stadium all game replacing kegs and adding more ice. Sometimes you get lucky, and have a gas station type bagged ice container nearby and you can re-ice your own kegs.
