I felt like we were much louder however I was sitting amongst the UC fans so of course we sounded louder to me. When Clements made that pick 6, I think that's the most I have cheered since the Pitt Big East title game. What a fun environment to be a part of (on our side of the stands). Also, the paper is reporting 21,000 fans in a stadium that sits 24,000 - no way there were only 3,000 open seats...my opinion of course but it looked more like 5-6000. Any thoughts?

The commentators literally said once that a Miami Third Down conversion should "quiet down this crowd". I feel like the only time you could notice crowd noise was when Cincinnati made a play...

The Fox19 feed was horrendous. Zero audio of the refs or really anything inside the stadium. Feels like every time we play at Moo U the production quality is junior high level at best.

It was awful for sure. And the commentators were terrible. LOL @ anyone thinking that final play by Coleman was a pass interference. That would have been a horrendous call. Glad they picked that up, but you would have thought it was a no brainer PI call listening to those clowns.

I don't know. Seems like officials have called PI for less.

And to clarify, it's not enough to tell a ref you're going to call a time out - you actually have to do it? And Chuck Martin did not call a time out? I finally got around to watching it, but don't know for sure what the explanation was.

That's my understanding. He may ( or may not) have told the official that he planned to call it. But regardless, you still have to call it. The prior notice is just to make sure you're going to have the officials attention when the time comes. From watching the replay it looked like he was so absorbed in the play card trying to decide what he was going to call on 3rd and 2 that he forgot to watch the clock and call the timeout. Ooops...

It still floors me a D1 college head coach didn't realize this . It's not like pre- ordering a pizza at Larosa's you can pick up later in the day.

Watch starting at 2:27:56

and the replay of it at 2:28:55

He did not call a time out. And the ref was not standing next to him. Is it the coach responsibility to get next to the ref?

And then the INT for a TD at 2:29:55

And it made me laugh again. 03-lmfao

I believe the ref is positioned in a particular place relative to the line of scrimmage so they can observe the appropriate part of the field. It is absolutely the coach's responsibility to make the ref aware of the request for timeout in whatever manner is required. It seemed he gave him a heads up but just forgot to seal the deal.
