ULM vs Cajuns
I was pretty confident we had a shot this year to win. I still think we can win but I am not as confident as I was a couple weeks ago.
Our QB situation is very bad right now. Garrett Smith hasn't came around and Evans isn't doing much.
Smith 4/9 60 yards
Evans 7/18 52 yards and 67 yard TD run.

It looks like they're probably rolling with Evans.

We're going to need a JUCO or Grad guy to succeed.

"I just have to trust in my ability and be more comfortable in the offense," Evans said. "If nothing is open, I can run too. That's something I really have to think about. I can actually run and it took over this game."

You have a chance to win this game. I've heard nothing on the extent of Davis' injury.. yesterday defensively we showed signs of life in the 1st half but ran out of gas in the 2nd half. Don't get me wrong, A&M is a young and very talented team. Still' We could have played better. I watched the ULM game last night and saw good improvement over last year.

Yeah we could have won if one of these QBs would play.

RE: ULM vs Cajuns
I thought Evans ball placement looked good, especially on some long balls, but the receivers ether quit running, didn't extend their hands, or more likely got the ball lost in the lights. Going to be an interesting game Saturday. I think will come down to who wants it more. I do think not playing last weekend and only having one game under our belts hurt us.

ULL's offense will score points, and I'm still not very sold on our defense. The question is if their D is trash enough to give up enough points for us to win.

3 int drops by defense.

The old maxim holds true. If you have two QBs you have none.

I expect alot of running by both teams.

But we are at home and that gives us an edge.

What's up with Davis? I wasn't high on him but he looks to be a good option.

He's matured considerably. Made some good decisions in his first two starts.

He got hurt by an unnecessary tackle out of bounds and after that, he couldn't run and his passes started to sail on him which led to two interceptions.

So, for certain, he's not going to be 100% for us, but I expect him to play.

Listed as probable today.....he always had incredible physical skills.....took a little longer for the mental and leadership aspects of quarterbacking to kick in. The arrival of Hall as QB Coach and OC has brought it out of him.

That's good for y'all. As of right now our QB situation is mess. I think they'll roll with Evans. I would just name Smith starter but that's me. Smith now plays like he isn't trying to make a mistake vs going out and being the gritty player he was. Kinda took the swagger from him by rotating.

Exactly....some kids have to have a little continuity before getting comfortable.

A Classic battle here between a team that struggles to score and a team that struggles defensively.

RE: ULM vs Cajuns
The good news is the Cajuns have a good QB in Davis. (think Gautier)

The bad news is he may not play or if he does play, may not be 100%.

ULM is always fired up for this game. I think if Davis is 100%, the Cajuns will score points in bunches. If not, well we'll see.

I hope the defense plays like they did in the 1st half of the aTm game, and not like.. well any other time this season.

This will be the least attended game between the 2 schools at Cajun Field in a long time.

The natives are restless....

Do you guys have a public message board anymore? Looks like all of your chatter about our game is hidden behind a paywall.
