Pretzel Logic on the MSU Game
OK, follow me on this:

- Western hangs with #4 USC until the final few minutes in 100 degree heat.
- People (nationally) question the ranking of USC.
- Western looks like hot garbage against MSU.
- USC proceeds to spank #14 Stanford.

We know the above to be true, so what is the X factor?

Could it be that everyone under-rated MSU, last year was just an aberration, they added by subtraction (happens), and now they are back and really are that good?

I guess we will find out...

Matchups, it's hard to figure them out. 1st game our talent just matched up well with USC. 2nd game, MSU had our number. We were never able to hit our stride against them.

I think we'll look real good against Idaho. They don't have the dominant size MSU had on the DL.

RE: Pretzel Logic on the MSU Game
We played loose at SC. It was like a bowl game experience in the week leading up to the game, too. Coming back here, there was a let down. The team looked flat against MSU.

State may be better than advertised, but I don't think they are anywhere near the level of SC.

USC is a very good team. MSU is better than people want to give them credit for. WMU will be just fine.
