Kansas @ Ohio
Iowa State @ Akron I think Akron continues to improve on O. Iowa St 52- Akron 6
Northern Illinois @ Nebraska
Tennessee Tech @ Ball State
Central Michigan @ Syracuse my faith is returning in the Chips, Who are the refs in this one? CMU will at a minimum cover the 10 pt spread. I'm looking for the upset.
Colgate @ Buffalo If they can't pull out the win here, the 'alos are in for a long season
Kent State @ Marshall The flashes might cover the 14pts but will fall short of the win.
Tulsa @ Toledo
Idaho @ Western Michigan The Vandals are in for a long day.
Bowling Green @ Northwestern I'm thinking if SDSU can beat the Falcons, NW can probably too.
Cincinnati @ Miami Taking the underdog in this one. The Bear Cats look pretty good against the Wolverines. Just a gut feeling on this one.

I think people are too quick to dismiss Idaho due to them dropping down to FCS next year.

Are you really taking Idaho? Any thoughts on their 30 point loss to UNLV at home last week?

Idaho was good last year. Even though they're dropping to FCS, they should still be decent this year. Keep in mind Cubit lost to them last time they came to Waldo. The way we played/were coached last game, I wouldn't trust us vs Wagner.

Does "Rhode Island" CMU or "Kansas" CMU show up?

What if they're the same CMU but KU just sucks that much.

Yep, exactly. KU is that bad.

The betting line out of Las Vegas has Miami as a 4 to 5 point favorite.

A 14 point loss to a good P5 team isn't the end of the world.

Have some faith, brother. We finally get to see our team at home, and I think they show up big.

LOL I'm the only one taking Idaho so far. Sorry, we looked HORRENDOUS vs Michigan St. I pray Bellamy, Bogan, and Franklin can save our offense, and Phillips shows up big again.

RE: 2017 MAC Football Pick 'Em -- Week 3
Bold=Winning; Underline=Beating Spread (if there is one)

Kansas @ Ohio -7.5
*Purdue is good. Damn good. But Ohio still looked bad, and their passing game isn't good. Ohio doesn't have the passing game CMU did last week. Ohio wins by a FG. Maybe.

Iowa State -10 @ Akron
*Iowa State is going to want to take their frustrations out on Akron... 2nd half after getting over themselves on the road. But still win by over 17pts.

Northern Illinois @ Nebraska -14
*This isn't the same NIU from Lynch days. Rod Carey still "RuelZ". NIU shows some punch, but loses by 17-20 in the end.

Tennessee Tech @ Ball State
*Ball State's is a bowl-quality team. TTech isn't even a decent FCS school. BSU rolls their balls all over them.

Central Michigan @ Syracuse -10
*Another low-pt-spread of P5 vs G5. One of these may upset. Shane Morris may do it here, but CMU riding high and Syracuse bouncing back, they win by 17.

Colgate @ Buffalo
*Colgate may not be a bad FCS, but Buffalo's on their way up with a good D. Buffalo easily wins.

Kent State @ Marshall -14.5
*Marshall isn't spectacular, but they can hold their own. And it's @Marshall. Kent State will put up a fight for a little while, but lose by 17-24 pts.

Tulsa @ Toledo -9.5
*Toledo with a nice spread. I'd normally pick Tulsa, but boy, they have NO D. And it's @Toledo. But Tulsa can Score. A shoot-out that Toledo pulls out at home.

Idaho @ Western Michigan -20.5
*Idaho was under-par last week, no doubt. They have a great QB and can score. Their D has holes, and WMU will get their running game rolling, and actually some passes, although Wassink won't prove himself too well. WMU wins by 10pts in the end, in a high-scoring game.

Bowling Green @ Northwestern -22
*BGSU shows some life by saying WTF, and doing things a bit different. NW handles it fine, but BGSU refuses to get stomped. NW by 21, just shy of the spread.

Cincinnati @ Miami -5.5
*It's @Miami, and Cinci looked deceptively "decent" against UM last week. Don't let that fool ya. Miami won't take 6 games to get back on track this time, playing Will Smith's "Welcome to Miami" classic song over and over and over again at the game, to shake Cinci. Miami by 10pts.

Why do people "Pass" on any particular game? It'll cost you points!

Looks like CMU vs Syracuse + Cinci vs Miami are the two main ones. A couple Kansas over Ohio... and one (huh?) Akron taking out Iowa State.

I can see Iowa State losing to Akron. I don't know how much they improved over last year, but they only finished 3-9 in the regular season, with only 2 wins in the Big XII (finishing 2nd to last, ahead of lowly Kansas). That said, they did face pretty tough competition last year.... Looking at Akron's last two games, a blowout loss at Penn State and a blowout win against an FCS team, it's tough to gauge how the Zips will look in this one. Ultimately, I'm still leaning Cyclones on this one, but an Akron win isn't unfathomable.

I'm struggling with the CMU/'Cuse, Miami/Cincy, and Toledo/Tulsa picks right now.
