Things are understandably still a bit up in the air (no pun intended) due to the effects of Irma.

I do want to announce a rule change, however. For the rest of the season, we will not be using "confidence ranks" as a tiebreaker. Instead, we will designate a second game (in addition to the Game of the Week) as a backup tiebreaker in case the GOW doesn't do the job.

Also, instead of using Margin of Victory, we will use the total combined points for the two teams. That way we can still use the GOW as the first tiebreaker even if no one correctly picked the winner.

As of this minute, I still don't know if the Tennessee @Florida game or the Georgia Tech @Central Florida will be played. Rather than wait to publish the slate of games for the week, I will include both. However, if one of these games is cancelled, we will replace it with the LSU @Mississippi State game, and if both are cancelled we will also substitute the Purdue @Missouri game.

As of about 20 minutes ago, Tech announced that its game against Central Florida has been cancelled. It will be replaced on the Pickem with the LSU @Mississippi State game.

If Tennessee @Florida is cancelled, it will be replaced by Purdue @Mizzou. If there are any other cancellations, everybody will get credit for a win for those games.

Latest I've heard is that the SEC is considering moving the Florida game to Atlanta. No decision yet.

Don't forget to pick total points on the Clemson game and the LSU game. You wouldn't want to lose the tiebreaker by omission.

If I'm UCF I absolutely lose my mind of UF is allowed to have their home game and I'm not allowed to host a P5 for the once every 5 years that happens. They should have just taken GT's offer to flip the home and home. Also, probably not a good idea in hindsight to have sent the team home. It's penny wise, pound foolish.
