They are going to FCS because of two reasons:
1. Geography and
2. It seems their president is all about dropping down regardless of the fanbase.

Which really comes back to the real statement: one game, one season, even 3-4 seasons don't make a program. So the kneejerk statements about "This team won last year, we should have invited them YESTERDAY" is just... dumb.

I knew we were doomed as soon as I saw this thread. It's karma!

Anyway, I'm not a fan of the whole premise. Who "deserves" FCS isn't really a thing. Our administration made a decision to leave FBS, independent of anything the Sun Belt did. Idaho has a business relationship with the Sun Belt. It's been up to Idaho to make the case that the relationship should continue. As of tonight that case got harder to make.

I don't want to get into a debate but Idaho isn't the only school that should go IAA. Ive always thought there should have been more stringent rules to those who want to move up in the 1st place.

In general, I agree with you... But that's pretty much what the P5 is trying to do to everyone else.
