This week's picks will start the season contest. Everyone is eligible to play, even if you did not play in Week 1. Note the rules in the Week 1 thread started by gts.

When you post your picks on this thread, be sure to list them in order of the confidence you have in each pick. The game you are most confident of winning gets listed first, and so on until the final pick which is the pick you have the least confidence in.

There will be 15 games each week, and all ACC games except those played against FCS opponents (or OOC with point spreads of 30 or higher) will generally be included. The balance of the slate will included featured games from other conferences, and will often include several SEC teams that many of us also have an interest in.

The point spreads shown are for your information only. You are to just pick the winner straight up, without considering the spread (which may change after my initial post). If a spread isn't available when the slate is first posted, I will edit this post, and highlight the change in red. This week, that is only applicable to the Georgia-Notre Dame game.

After you have made your initial picks, you may not change them after a game has started (for weeknight games) or after 11:45 AM (ET) for Saturday games. If you want to make a change, do not merely edit your initial post. Indicate your change in a separate post, so it is transparent to all players, and especially to me, who will be tabulating the results.

Don't forget to indicate your predicted Margin of Victory for the Game of the Week (GOW). Failure to include it will result in your losing the tiebreaker if it comes down to that.

It appears the Miami - Arkansas State game has been cancelled. I had been thinking about what the rule would be in this kind of event, and was thinking of calling it the "LSU Rule". Now it appears it should be the "Miami Rule".

In any event, the plan is that, if a game is cancelled, everyone will get credit for a win for that game. This week, we might have been able to pick a substitute game, but usually we won't have much notice. We don't want a situation where a player who had already submitted his picks is unaware of a late change. So we all get to "pad" our record a bit.
