Minnesota licked the Beavers 48-14 in Corvallis, Oregon yesterday.

Looks like Peej is hitting his stride early. That's worth a stage leap into the players at any rate.

Oregon St. is FCS level bad. Wouldn't read much into it.

Also.. I beg our fan base to not wear "Row the Boat" shirts any more. Surely, you must have more WMU apparel in your closet, right? Way too many of those for my liking yesterday in East Lansing.

Yeah, these tweets from Dangerous Darius show that RTB is long gone. I'm glad I never bought any RTB gear.

I was downtown Kzoo at Orrin B. Hayes getting my car serviced on Friday.'The service manager had on a Minnesota gophers bracelet. A quick chat revealed that he is PJ's father-in-law. He was very personable and very proud of his son-in-law. What a small strange world we live in.

Say what you will about the Gophers win over the Beavers, but Oregon State was favored in that game and the underdog Gophers rolled them.

Oregon State:
- Got Crushed by Colorado State (who got crushed by Idaho at end of year bowl)
- Barely beat a playoff-level D1AA team at home (understandable; not bad for a bad P5; not good for a decent P5)
- Got Crushed by Minnesota who went blow for blow against Buffalo at home the previous week

So no, Oregon State was not good. Obviously showed they shouldn't have been the favorites if they were.

And Oregon State was picked 5th in their 6-team division in the PAC12 preseason media poll.

I can only assume Vegas really jumped on Minnesota's underwhelming performance against Buffalo when making that line.

Gophers are 2-0 with one underwhelming (offensive) performance and one impressive performance against teams who are combined 1-4.

We are 0-2 with one highly competitive performance and one disappointing (offensive) performance against teams who are combined 4-0.

It's early yet.

Wait, wait, wait. Why the **** was Oregon St favored???? And Minnesota finished 9-4 last season? Oregon St lost to Mount West Colorado St. Not taking the win away from Minnesota and Fleck or anything, but the top of the MAC could've pummeled Oregon St too.
