The team looked very composed yesterday compared to the Cotton Bowl. Terrell and Fleck looked nervous back then. Lester was loose as a goose! And Wassink seemed confident.

Let's not disparage the past to make the current team look good. Zach was as confident and poised as any player in CFB last year. Wassink learned from him how to be poised and I think it showed well.

I never doubt "the insiders."

Just saying. At the Cotton Bowl, I was surprised to see nerves showing out of those two. New guys come in..big game...were ready for it. Not disparaging.

I'm not an insider, either.
But I DID stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
I'll show myself out...

I'm not sure if I'm an insider or an outsider. I know I used to have an innie, but now that I have a beer belly I am almost an outie. It's harder to get the lint out now too.

That's the benefit of being a MAC football fan, everyone who shows interest is an 'insider'.
Being an insider for a Big 10 program costs mucho Dinero. I'm thinking $ 100k just to rate a forced, toothy smile from Jim Harbaugh.
Coach Harbaugh gives 3 seconds face time to members of the 'Victors Club' before a game. Yeah it was a lot of money, but with recognition of this caliber it was a solid investment!

I was an insider when being an insider wasn't cool.
Now? Not so much. If I wake up still alive it's a good day.

RE: Expect similar games all year
I'm surprised that USC stuck with the 2-4-5 as a base. Many of their fans were not thrilled on different forums. We took advantage of that size advantage and it worked. Which is why we didn't try to air it out. I thought we would run until they took it away and forced us to pass, which never happened. Would've been foolish to go away from what they were essentially giving us. I'm good with it.
MSU has little to go on to prepare for our passing attack now. Their CBs were beaten downfield several times by BGSU WRs and the QB was unable to deliver. MSU has actually gained a false confidence because they "didn't give up" the deep ball. We have the speed to expose this. The question is whether Wassink will be sharp enough to deliver.
I expect us to establish the run early again. IF they can stop it then we exploit their secondary. Their pass rush was non-existent, 1 sack by a LB. that's a surprising stat considering the inability of BGSU to sustain a drive. Their lone TD was off of a fumble by LJ Scott. I think the MSU defense is in for a long day. If you watched their first game they were lucky and relieved to have only given up 3 in the 1st half. BG should've had 2 TD minimum.
