RE: UC season record prediction considering first game?
I predicted 6-6 at the beginning of the season, knowing it was maybe a little optimistic. Right after the game when I was standing at the edge of the cliff, I said 4-8. So I guess I will go in the middle of those two and say 5-7.

7-5 still. I am hoping the the staff did not show all of his cards/tactics during the AP game and is saving some plays for Michigan and the confence schedule. Miami is still winnable and so are several of the conference games. Adversity is the mother of inventions and hopefully this staff is adaptable.

7-5, 6-6 is still where this team is likely headed. Miami, Marshall, SMU, Tulane, ECU, UConn, and Temple are not very good. Michigan is elite and USF, UCF, and Navy are top tier conference teams. Have to win all the home games against the first group which is 4 more wins. Then all you need is one or two against Tulane, Miami, or ECU.
My goal for this year is still to keep the victory bell, protect Nippert, and make a bowl game.

USF was down last night to an FCS school at the half, but ended up pulling it out 31-17. Wonder if their fans are now predicting a losing record on the season.

Sweet Lord UC faithful! First game in and because we didn't win 56-3 some of you are crawling under rocks to avoid the falling sky. I'm not changing from my 7-5 prediction. Yeah, Michigan will probably take us behind the woodshed next Saturday. It's only one game - how many of youse picked UC to win up there anyway? My advice to all you Flounders - start drinking heavily.
RE: UC season record prediction considering first game?
I was optimistic before the season...I picked 9-3.
Just reverse the numbers: 3-9. And yes, that is still being optimistic, I almost want to argue that we're looking at 1-11. But I'll hope for two more along the way.

Why wait? Go ahead and argue for 1-11 now, Sunshine.

I think 1-11 is unlikely... I hope...
BTW, is that a "Chess" reference there? "I get my kicks above the waistline, Sunshine."
RE: UC season record prediction considering first game?
Half of the UC donors that hold seats between the 30 yard lines won't show up for any game but homecoming. - That's an easy one.
% of wins will be about the same as the other minor league team that plays in Nippert these days. Does anyone really care where Bowling Green or La Tech finishes in their respective leagues?
Power 6 - what a joke. Oh No!

RE: UC season record prediction considering first game?
First game of a completely new system and people are freaking out? Yep, sounds like this message board.
As I said earlier, I expect them to look better against UM, not win, but look better. Zero pressure on them for that one.
Once Hayden Moore calmed down a bit he wasn't awful. I think he has to hit a deep ball or two to keep the defense honest and give Boone a chance. I'm really hoping Boone plays WR a bit more and gets in some open space. There is no way that vanilla crap we saw all night against Austin Peay is all there is to the playbook so far.
Watching on TV, in spite of the great showing from the students, there appeared to be no electricity in the stadium. That won't be the case at UM and hopefully is not the case again at home.
