It was one or both honestly. BV just wasn't getting it done.

BV is a good coach and a good guy for stepping down, but he knew it wasn't working out. At one point I thought he would be a college head coach himself.
I guess the Joey Jones coaching tree is limited to Bill Clark right now, although Jerry Mack at NC Central might be considered part of it as well.

I agree Vincent is a good coach and a loyal man, but every coach can not fit into every program. Hopefully BV can hook back up with UAB, if he wishes to do so. As far as who was the right coach to let go, that will be determined at the end of the season. Your interest in the USA football program is greatly appreciated.

I fully expect South to lose to Tech, however every year there are a couple games on our schedule that we win when I'm not expecting it. This could be one of those games. So in short, I have no idea.

P.S. I grew up in Ruston and was raised going to Tech games. One of my best memories as a kid was beating Boise State to win the WAC and tearing down the goal posts in I think 2000? Anyway glad to see Ruston is doing well, y'all even have a movie theater and Waffle House now!

I am certain it was 2000. Lots of memories made since.

How fast are those 6'4" receivers?

Jamarius Way (3) is the real deal. Not great speed, but a good leaper. Jordan McCray (12) is not the athlete that Way is, but serviceable. Personally I think our best receiver is also the smallest guy on the field Sam Harris (4)

I think McCray is faster than he looks. He also has very good hands in traffic. If we can put a few more pounds on him, he's going to be dominant.

I do agree that Sam Harris is probably the most dangerous receiver we have. He is super quick and very tough. He seems to catch everything thrown near him.

I also agree on Way, he is certainly every we were told. The guy has made some incredible catches this year. He fights for everything in the air and is one of the best blocking WRs I think we've ever had in the run/screen game.
