I don't know the outcome of tomorrow's game, but your statement is just plain stupid. Rutgers had several games last year where they led Big 10 opponents in the 4th quarter. Rutgers lost at Minnesota on a FG in the final seconds of the game (34-32). Rutgers had Iowa on the ropes until they lost their stud player in Grant. The game turned in Iowa's favor and the final score was 14-7. Rutgers gave up a score to Indiana in the 4th quarter to lose 33-27 after leading for most of the game.

Should I throw Bob under the bus?

I think it is fair to say that most posters here are not taking Rutgers lightly and did notice that they played well vs. nationally ranked Washington last week.

I NEVER underestimate a B1G team.

Please ignore Bob, he knows nothing about football and loves to trash EMU football. Your observation was spot on, and 99% of his 'statements are just plain stupid.'

He is our resident idiot, troll and punching bag.

Here's to a good game tomorrow. 04-cheers

Rutgers has higher rated players at every position than EMU excluding QB. I've heard many prognosticators state the B1G is the toughest conference in football this season. I mean how many teams do they have in the top 25? Even Maryland beat Texas loaded with talent.

For Rutgers to be picked to finish 7th in the toughest conference in the country means the opposing coaches give Rutgers a lot of respect.

EMU would have to play amazingly well and win the turn over battle to upset Rutgers.

Finally I expect the game to be decided by 10 points or less and will be disappointed if it's not.

Go EMU!

RE: Game Week: Rutgers
Last season:
RU 0 Ohio St 58
RU 7 Illinois 24 (only Big 10 W)
RU 0 Michigan 78
RU 13 Maryland 32
RU 0 Penn State 39
RU 27 Indiana 33
RU 0 MSU 49
RU 7 Iowa 14
RU 32 Minnesota 34

How you lose by a combined score of 224-0 to MSU, PSU, U-M, and OSU is remarkable...and Luckey, 7th place= last place in Big 10 East.

Should be a close game. EMU desperately needs to win a meaningful non conference game. Not exactly like CMU going into Stillwater and beating Oklahoma State but we'll take it!

RE: Game Week: Rutgers
Ohio is getting hammered by Purdue. Ohio was the favorite in the East.
