Yep. We've had OSU transfers in the past and UC fans have been pretty welcoming. Knowing nothing about this particular player or his educational and athletic goals, I would think if Fickell wants to talk with him he'll get an audience. And if he's struggled to get playing time at OSU I don't think he's transferring to Alabama or Clemson. But I suspect he could see a lot of action here in the short run.

I'm not saying we would not welcome him. We have had a lot of OSU transfers, and guys like Underwood were great, and Trout/Schmidt helped out on a bad O-Line last season. Whenever OSU is mentioned in conjunction with UC there are always snide remarks. Just getting in front of the 8 ball here.

To be fair, there was that one schmuck who got upset because of the clothes Fickell wears, early on it was lots of logo-less gray stuff. So that "OSU agent" thing got run into the ground. Can't remember who it was.

Don't forget about Sam Longo, he was a core contributor on a very good O-Line for three years (and should've just come here from the start).

Heard this stated elsewhere, and i agree...

the thought was be leery of a big man with feet issues.

It often proves to be the case with big men in basketball. stands to reason it's often the case in football as well.

Surely the kid is gifted, and can contribute....but will his body allow him to do so?
