I really thought we might win that game until about 6 minutes left or so. It was 99 degrees during the game. When USC scored to pull ahead 28 - 21 and then Phillips returned the kickoff 100 yards, it didn't give our defense any time to catch their breath. USC then hit a couple of big plays and iced the game.

Tough pick for week #2 will be Howard at Kent State.

Howard has been terrible and then yesterday pulls the biggest upset in CFB history.

Cam Newton's younger brother was incredible.

NIU has a junior QB that isn't getting better apparently. I don't think we have anyone that can develop QBs now.

CMU's QB is a grad transfer from Michigan. Probably not much improvement coming from him.

After the other night, he certainly shouldn't get too comfortable. We have a Redshirt freshman who has been right there through fall camp.
