Us getting Kent State sucks us getting Buffalo would suck. Our OOC besides Houston sucks. I have nothing against Coastal. Things can change though. We have Houston but they can suck by the time the get to us. I was mainly just dispelling the myth that an Army base being close matters in getting Army. Between Army and Kent State I would take Army. BTW I am sure Kent St fans are saying the same thing about us.

We aren't playing Kent State anymore. We replaced them with Ball state

I agree congrats to Coastal on adding a four game series with Army plus a very beatable MAC opponent which is even better than the Army series because it can help the conference in the G5 money pool.

You can argue whether Army is 'good' but they will draw people in that may have never been to a Coastal game before. Great exposure for your program and I bet one of the highest attended games that year.

I agree if you went to West Point or Annapolis your probably a fan but it you enlisted out of high school and ended up at FT Stewart GA or some other base your probably a fan of some other team. Well with the exception of the Army-Navy Game.

Yes

How did that happen? Typically you've got 2 away, 2 home in FBS.

3 of our first four years in FBS we scheduled two money games so 2017 is the last year of those. In 2020 we play 3 OOC at home and return those in 2021.

Not really. We usually have a game in Atlanta or another closeby city where a large portion of our fanbase is located. I don't mind playing 5 home games. The only thing I kind is when two of those five are on weeknights

At some point, the leadership needs to get up and get after some brand names and stop blaming the offense; it's a farce at best and extremely misleading to the fan base at worst.

Idk about Army but when I was at Lackland a group of Airmen went up to Fort Worth to watch Air Force vs Houston. I'm not a Academy grad but it was exciting and we always rooted for them to win.

Monken has ties to GS and (if rumors can be believed) he may have issues with the current AD. Who knows, but Monken is reluctant to play GS, so if another school is available he will choose that (or at least request that).

Okay idiot, you know that the head coach of Army, Jeff Monken, was our former head coach right? He's been interviewed several times about a possible match up with Georgia Southern and he has gone on record saying that he has told Army's AD not to schedule us or Ga Tech for personal reasons. It has nothing to do with the offense. JEFF MONKEN INSTALLED THAT OFFENSE HERE AND AT ARMY. The only farce here is you.

...and so did 99% of the Airborne / Ranger qualified soldiers I served with. West Point is not the Army their graduates just end up in the Army. It is not that it is beneath you just dont care.
