Nice

He wasn't the greatest PG that came through UC but I always liked his grit, leadership, etc. He is a very well spoken young man and seems like he has a good head on his shoulders. Im sure whatever he does, he will be successful. All in, he was a great Bearcat.

Two Troy moments I'll always remember:
-Last second layup that rolled around the rim forever and then sank vs. Purdue that sent it to OT in the ncaa
-that rainbow jumper from baseline as the clock his 0 at the Shoe vs Bama....for the win

He's a gamer, but he has to develop more consistency with his jump shot to play in the nba. It's been elusive for him.

i don't get to watch a lot of the games, but i listen to almost all of them. i'm not privy to what y'all observe. getting to watch that uconn uc conference tourney game was incredible. i didn't know until then how brazen he was. i cringed at all those f*ckers he chucked up but they still went in.

i have no idea what the hell happened last year. he appeared fearless. the few games i saw last year he seemed to delegate and take the focus off himself. maybe defenses played him different, which allowed jacob to shine? we definitely got better players. i would love to had troy for one more year. am pretty excited about cane though

I believe that that was Cashmere Wright that hit that shot.

I think the pressure of being a senior plus having more options led him to not searching out his offense as much as he should have. But he continued to be one of the best assist/to point guards in the country. I agree that he needs to find more consistency from his jump shot but 6'4 point guards don't grow on trees. It wouldn't surprise me if he eventually made it but I think he'll get need to develop his game in the g league. He's still only 21 so time is on his side.

He'll have to make that adjustment with the shortened shot clock. I think part of the issue there was he often looked to the bench for instructions.

This is the primary reason I believe UC will be better offensively without him.

The question is why was this the case. We saw Justin Jenifer run it across the line. Is it because Troy wasn't capable, or because that's what Mick wanted him to do? Mick was all about turning games into rock fights (which benefitted us), but when he had Jenifer or Cumberland running point he let them tear down the court.

I've always wondered if Troy decided to move that slowly, or if it was Mick's decision. He's a great guy and reliable player, but I really didn't care for how we barely avoided a 10-second violation on every... single... possession.

And for an offense that usually relies on passing around the perimeter waiting for an opening, we need all the time we can get. I just can't understand it.

Agree. And furthermore, we all saw that Troy could attack the basket if he had his mind to it, but I think whatever it was that made him slog across the timeline also made him more passive as a player. I think he was a lot more capable than we saw his junior and senior years, so maybe if he changes his style a bit he might have a shot at the NBA.

Best wishes to Troy.
