I scanned the article, but I didn't really see how Millenials were to blame for the Big 12's contraction. Anyone care to share that premise in a nutshell?

The article's title is intended to be sarcastic. He talks about the scandals at Texas Tech, lack of facility upgrades for much of the conference, coaching turnover and the exit of major programs including Texas A&M, Nebraska and Missouri for greener pastures and then implies it is the fault of the Millenials with tongue planted firmly in cheek.
