The thing that really strikes me about this (dumb) poll is that La Tech and ODU have a big time rivalry according to this board - if it were a true representation of the fan bases.

One individual Tech fan aside, we honestly don't care about that one game from 3 years ago. We've only played once. That's not a rivalry. You might have a better case in basketball since the last two years have seen road teams win in traditionally tough places to do so, but that's still a reach to call it a rivalry.

Our only rivals in C-USA are Southern Miss (who we've played 48 times, vastly more than anyone else here) and UAB hoops because of recent history since we joined.

That doesn't make a rivalry though, current Tech fans are indifferent even though it has been pushed as rivalry. As far as for the players Tech is more of rival to USM than USM is to Tech. Southern Miss has played up, two of their best games against Tech the last two years. While Tech has had no energy for those games just going through the motions.

If WKU fans had there way, all sports articles that praise ODU must go through them first before publishing.

That article is just proof that even homer hacks can get butthurt when you leave players strewn all over the field bitchslapping a team that thought they were back based on an easy schedule.

Not dogging ODU as I think what Wood Selig has done is remarkable with Sailor's U. A great addition. But any article that starts off saying winning is not enough. LOL.

USM wasn't playing up because it was LaTech, 2015 it was to win the west and 2016 it was to be bowl eligible. A lot at stake.

That said, I do enjoy playing LaTech.

So WKU and ODU lead this poll. Its interesting because those two fanbases also seem the most engaged and appear to have the highest expectations from their programs from what I see on this board. WKU at least has something to brag about. As does MT
