MyBB Battle for Atlantis
WKU draws Villanova! Great chance to make some noise early . WKU had only played Villanova one time and it was a 2 overtime loss in the 1971 final 4.

1) There is more than one Atlanta?
2) Who wants to fight over them?

FALSE!

In the 1971 Final Four, Vacated defeated Vacated on one half of the bracket. UCLA defeated Kansas on the other half.

UCLA won the title by defeating Vacated in the championship game.

Side note: After several appearances in the Final Four (including a heartbreaking loss in the 08 title game) Vacated finally broke through for its first title in 2013.

Hence the hatred for University of Kentucky for turning us in to the NCAA for a player that signed with an agent before the year was over with.

Also, MTSU would pick up our "vacated" and use it as a jock strap in a heart beat.

Mitchell Robinson was obviously impressed with what WKU cheated to do 46 years ago.

Cheated was not really true, broke a rule is more accurate. WKU had a player prematurely have dealings with a agent. WKU really was not the one in the wrong, but paid the price.

No, but the other top rated recruits were.
Robinson is a head case.

That's peculiar. Why wouldn't they just have the winners and losers of WKU-Nova and Tennessee-Purdue pair off instead of sending the losers to the other side of the bracket? That's very unusual for tournaments, and they didn't do it last season (ODU played Louisville, then the winner and loser played the winner and loser of Wichita State-LSU).

TV is all about the Power Confernces, they want us and Northern Iowa playing and Villanova to face UT or Purdue, pretty clear their intentions here...
