How large is your radio network?
How many radio affiliates does your school have? Was curious how we compared to other G5 conferences.

RE: How large is your radio network?
USA just expanded our coverage again this year. In addition to having our own radio station "99.5 FM The Jag", which is affiliated with iHeart radio (meaning it is reachable all over the world really), we have coverage on the following stations (taken from a USA media release):

"Jag football will be available locally including in Baldwin County on 99.5 The Jag FM once again, while WRKH 96.1 FM will provide coverage in Mobile, Pensacola and Gulfport.

New stations within the network this year include WZGX 99.1 FM in Birmingham and Hoover — making broadcasts available in more than 1,100,000 homes in the city's metro area — and WZZN 97.7 FM, which covers Huntsville, Decatur and Athens. Other stations returning to the network in the fall include WBMH 106.1 FM (Jackson, Grove Hill), WFMH 95.5 FM (Hamilton, Jasper, Tupelo, Miss.), WOAB 104.9 FM (Dothan, Enterprise, Ozark), WVRV 101.5 FM (Montgomery, Prattville) and WVRV 97.5 FM (Troy)"

This brings a total of around 3 millions listeners (not including iHeart radio) that can listen. We are still a growing brand, but we are growing very quickly.

We just announced today a partnership with "Foxsports Arkansas" which gives a new 23 radio affiliates (which is a school record for Astate).

The press release didn't have specific numbers but stated that "almost the entire state of Arkansas and parts of Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri and Tennessee" would be covered.

I haven't looked in a few years but I know at one point Miami (FL) had two or three stations in the metro area doing English language and one broadcasting games in Spanish. Always thought that it was interesting how there was just no market outside the immediate metro area.

I wonder why WASU doesn't broadcast games any more? I never thought about it until a few years ago, but it seems like I used to listen to games on 90.5.

Only 9 affilliates, but they cover our major alumni areas and roughly 7 million people.

RE: How large is your radio network?
Our company's app, radioPup, gives you a worldwide affiliate without having to pay a bunch of radio stations to carry your games. We have enough terrestrial affiliates to cover the state. But the future is in the app. You can listen in your car, on your phone, on your computer.
At some point you'll see radio affiliates disappear entirely. Not in the next few years, but eventually.

Hey, the Chanticleer Sports Network's new home for football, men's basketball, and baseball will be 99.5 FM (a Myrtle Beach talk station) on the dial as well!

Outside of the new FM home this season after years of being on the Myrtle Beach ESPN Radio FM station, we can still be heard on a local AM station (ESPN Radio) and 105.5 FM, also based in the Myrtle Beach/Grand Strand market.

Fans outside the region can listen on GoCCUSports.com's online live feeds of games...

This may not sound like big news to outsiders but Clemson sports used to broadcast on 99.5 FM so Coastal's gotten important enough to run the Tigers out our backyard some. The Gamecocks still have a presence on Myrtle Beach's 80's music station 103.1 FM, though, but hopefully soon it will be all Chants Nation around this area of SC!05-mafia
